MINISTRY UPDATE! YOUR CON- TACT INFORMATION IS NEEDED as we plan outreach in our commu- nity. Did you know our church family is spread out over quite a large mis- sion field?

We’re planning to form Mission Groups according to geographical location in order to reach those dis- connected from a faith community. I’m excited to partner with you to reach into every part of our commu- nity in spreading the gospel! Take a moment to fill our one of our Blue Cards in the pew rack so we can con- firm your contact information.

FOCUS ON MISSION is what we formerly called “announcements.” Why the name change? Because ev- erything we do, every meeting, every event, every hike, every trip, is in- tended to fulfill our mission. What is our mission? Jesus gave the task to: “Go and make ”

disciples of all nations

There are only 2 real offices in the church, bringers, and includers. All ministry at Campus Hill falls into these 2 areas. When we are sitting next to someone at our Fellowship Dinners, when we ride on the train on a Prime Timers trip, when take time for any- one, young or old, we are fulfilling our mission.

It’s never enough to just do an activ- ity for the activity’s sake, we must ask ourselves what part the activity plays in making disciples!

(Mt. 28:18)

Connecting With Christ

Each member is needed in order for us to become the Body of Christ. All our spiritual gifts are needed for the church to become a fully-functioning organism. Our daily commitment to God’s task will make a great differ- ence in our world.

As we ask God to open His way for us, we need to be open to His lead- ing! Author Norman Cates shares the humorous story of a guy who prayed this prayer every morning: “Lord, if you want me to witness to someone today, please give me a sign to show me who it is.”

One day he found himself on a bus when a big, burly man sat next to him. The bus was nearly empty but this guy sat next to our praying friend. The timid Christian anxiously waited for his stop so he could exit the bus.

But before he could get very nervous about the man next to him, the big guy burst into tears and began to weep. He then cried out with a loud voice, “I need to be saved. I’m a lost sinner and I need the Lord. Won’t somebody tell me how to be saved?” He turned to the Christian and pleaded, “Can you show me how to be saved?”

The believer immediately bowed his head and prayed, “Lord, is this a sign?”

Let’s each be open to serve where needed as we pray, “Thy will be done ”

Dear Church Family,

Why on earth are we here? The Bible gives us the answer: to take all you are and all you’ve got and use it to glorify God —there’s nothing greater you can do with your life. There’s no higher pur- pose than to take your time, your trea- sure and your talents and use them to glorify God.

When you live for the glory of God, you’re doing what you were created to do. And you become who you were cre- ated to be. This is what the God of the Bible says:

“Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth, everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” — Isaiah 43:6-7

Whoever you are, wherever you’ve come from, your reason for existence on planet earth is the same. You have been created for the glory of God—to take all that you are and all that you have and use it to magnify God. How do we glo- rify Him? By sharing the good news of His love, His Grace, and His sacrifice for everyone to have the choice to live with Him forever. — Pastor Mark

GET READY! VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL IS ON THE HORIZON! Roar VBS is an African adventure for the entire crew. Students will learn that “God is good” and will stay with them forever.

This VBS will teach and reinforce young bible students God’s good- ness in all of life circumstances. In the joyful and in the painful, God is always with us, taking care of us.

Kids experience God’s Word every day. One memorable Bible Point is reinforced throughout each station, each day—making it easy to apply long after VBS is over.

Save the dates, our Vacation Bible School will take place from June

16-22.

READ THRU THE BIBLE

Did you know research shows that only 1 in 5 Adventists read their Bi- bles daily. Let’s make sure we’re help- ing bump that average up!

Our goal will be to read the entire Bible in one year, and although this seems like a daunting task, it involves only reading about 4 chapters of the Bible each day.
