Our Belief
We start from ensuring environmental sustainability by using BAMBOO;
It’s a long way to promote the application of bamboo products;
The future of human civilization is our ultimate goal.
Our vision is to be the world's leading company in the bamboo
industry through good corporate governance and innovated business
 we advocate the Chinese cultural heritage;
 we initiate the trend of wide applications of bamboo;
 we help create a low carbon environment through sustainable and
responsible development.

 To facilitate bamboo applications at different levels in order to
raise the acceptability of bamboo and its products in the world;
 To promote and integrate the development of bamboo industry so
as to accelerate the industrialization process;
 To develop and advance international standards and international
trade platform of the bamboo industry;
 To show the world the culture of bamboo and its implication.
What is bamboo?
• a giant grass with wood characteristics, not a tree;
• with no less than 70 genera over 1,200 species;
• the fastest growing plant on earth (up to 1 meter per day in tropic regions);
• commonly found in tropical climate, e.g. Asia, Africa;
• The largest bamboo reservoir: China
• different uses:
 Panda food: Bashania fangiana (冷箭竹) etc. 30 species
 Paper: Neosino calamus affinis (慈竹), small stem (4cm), short (5m)
 Building materials: Moso Bamboo (毛竹), large stem (18cm), tall (20m)
Bamboo root structure
Types of bamboo rhizome Bamboo rhizome
Running (Monopodial) bamboo

Clumping (Sympodial) bamboo

Why bamboo ?
 High yield capability and high regenerative capacity
 Fastest growing plant
 Reaches its full height in a single season
 can be harvested after 5 years in a mature plantation without decreasing the
size of the forest
 Regular harvesting actually improves the bamboo's growing

 Mao bamboo can grow stronger and harder than oak in just 5 years
 Has a very high tensile strength compared to steel
 Soil erosion prevention
 Reducing the impact of global warming
 an important and very fast CO2 ‘fixator’: bamboo absorbs, during
its growth and life until harvest, a relative big amount of CO2 from
the atmosphere
 great carbon sink: CO2 being stored in finished products and will
only be released when this material is burnt

Physical properties of bamboo
Factors affect the physical functions of bamboo:
1. bamboo species
2. age
3. climate
4. water content
5. stem height

Density of bamboo: around 0.5-0.8 g/cm³

Physical functions of bamboo:

1. Average tensile strength: 1855 kg/cm²
2. Average compressive strength: 525 kg/cm²
3. Average bending strength:1408 kg/cm²

Vertical: Bamboo strips are stood vertically on their narrowest edge and then
laminated side to side. The effect is a lined, almost uniform look to the surface of the
finished floor plank.

Horizontal: Bamboo slats are arranges in a horizontal direction, on their widest edge,
and then joined side by side with adjacent pieces using a high-pressure laminate

system. The characteristic nodes of the bamboo are visible on the finished horizontal

Strand Woven: Bamboo strips are thrashed into thin strips and then being compressed
under intense pressure.
