Introduction:

(i) Purpose : Optimization of Resources

(ii) The Scientific Principle Involved : Graph theory in association with Matrices

Description :

(i) Materials Used : Cardboard Sheet , Container , Straws , Arduino Uno , connecting wires ,
motor driver , Ultrasonic sensor , Submersible pump , PCB board , 16 x 2 LCD display ,
Potentiometer , Buzzer , Tap , Soil , and Water .
(ii) Construction and Working :
= The circuit is made by connecting the ultrasonic sensor, motor driver circuit, LCD screen,
and potentiometer and buzzer to the PCB board. Connecting (jumper) wires are used to
connect the circuit components... the ultrasonic sensor is attached to the opening of the
container to detect the level of water, container is used to store water .the pump is now put
inside the container and the end of the pump is attached with a straw and is distributed to
the fields nearby for watering normally. The tap is attached to the base of the container,
and a straw is attached to the tap, and then the straw is send to the fields for distribution by
drip irrigation.
= The container if filled to its brim with water, and the circuit is turned on, the ultrasonic
sensor detects that the container is full and the pump motor is turned on. And the normal
irrigation starts. The minimum level of the ultrasonic sensor is 23 cm. once the water level
drops below it , the pump stops and the buzzer will ring , indicating that the water level is
low , and to start the drip irrigation system to conserve the water . The graph is made
between the varying levels of ……and is shown on the LCD screen.
