Teacher will explain the three 2- D shapes, and line segments before teaching the students how to draw them.Students will complete their handout on drawing a square, rectangle, and triangle. Students will then learn how to form the shapes and line segments on the geoboards.
Activity: After learning about line
segments and 2-D shapes students will get to finish their handout that was given to them. Once the students finish they may take a workmat, geoboard, and rubberbands, they will use these to form shapes and patterns on the geoboards that resemble those shown on the workmat.
