In Vedic astrology our ancient manuscripts have dedicated three houses for marital
relationship these are 7th house, 10th house and 12th house. Lords of these houses if
positioned in 10th houses and if Rashi of the 10 house falls under CHAR category then
no power in this world can save marriage.

In other way, even if such combination does not occupy the 10th houses but respective
lord aspects the 10th house then also divorce, second marriage, and problems even in the
second marriage are seen. Second marriage which was solemnized in hope to have a
peaceful life would turn out in a worst nightmare.

Any tom dick and harry or hoi polloi who does not have even worth of two syllables will
not spare a single chance to mire your life.

For divorce: If seventh lord and 12th lord sits together in the 10th house and Rashi of the
10 house falls under CHAR category then no power in this world can save marriage.

1. Mesh rashi (1) in 7th house, Virgo Rashi (6) in 12th house and Mars and mercury
in 10th house which is Cencer rashi (4).

Note: neither you will get divorce or live together.

2. Karka rashi (4) in 7th house, Sagittarius “Dhanu” Rashi (9) in 12th house and
Jupiter and moon in 10th house which is Lirbra “Tula” rashi (7).

Note: neither you will get divorce or live together.

3. if Libra in 7th house, Pieces in 12th and Capricorn in 10th with Mercury and
Jupiter.

Note: neither you will get divorce or live together.

4. if Capricorn in 7th house, Gemini in 12th and Aries in 10th with Saturn and
Mercury.

 Effects of the 1st house (Tanu Bhava)Indications of first house:

physique, appearance, intellect (or the organ of intelligence, i.e. brain), complexion of the body, vigour,
weakness, happiness, grief, and innate nature are all to be guessed through the ascending sign. BP
12-1. Physical comforts: Should the ascendant lord be conjunct with a malefic or be in 6th, 8th or 12th
house, physical felicity will diminish. BP 12-2. There will not be bodily health if the ascendant or the
Moon be aspected by or conjunct with a malefic, being devoid of a benefic aspect. BP 24-8. If the
ascendant lord is in 8th house, the native will be an accomplished scholar, be sickly, thievish, be given to
much anger, be a gambler, and will join others' wives. BP 25-1. If Dhooma is in the ascendant, the
native will be valiant, endowed with beautiful eyes, stupefied in disposition, unkind, wicked and highly
short-tempered. SA 34-7. If Saturn aspects the ascendant one will be troubled by heavy loads, travels
and diseases, be irascible, will be attached to aged women (i.e. will be fond of seeking union with aged
females), be devoid of happiness, be dirty and foolish. GH 5. Mercury in the ascendant or the 6th or
the 8th can cause death at the age of four years. Even if the native is dipped in nectar, it will be of no
avail.

Effects of the 2nd house (Dhana Bhava)Indications of 2nd house: Wealth, grains (food etc.), family,
death, enemies, metals, precious stones etc. are to be understood through the second house. BP 13-1.
Should the lord of 2nd house be in 6th/8th/12th, financial conditions will decline. BP 13-1. A benefic
in 2nd house will give wealth. BP 13-6. There will be penury right from birth and the native will have
to beg even for his food if the lords of 2nd and 11th house are both combust or with malefics. BP 13-
12. Should the said planet be in 6th, 8th, or 12th house, there will be disease or deformity of eyes. BP
24-20. If lord of the 2nd house is in 8th, the native will be endowed with abundant land and wealth. But
he will have limited marital felicity and be bereft of happiness from his elder brother. BP 25-14. If
Pranapada is in 2nd house, the native will be endowed with abundant grains (rice and wheat, etc.)
abundant wealth, abundant attendants, abundant children, and be fortunate. SA 30-15. The Moon in
the 2nd house: Should the Moon be in the 2nd house, the native will enjoy incomparable happiness and
friends and be wealthy. If the said Moon be Full, the native will be very affluent and will speak less.
HS 21-21. Should the Moon be in 2nd house, one will be courageous, rich, and dear to women, and one
will be happy with little. SA 34-18. Benefics in the 2nd house cause advent of money in many ways.

Effects of the 3rd house (Sahaj Bhava)Indications of third house:

From the third house, know of the following: valor, servants (attending, etc.), brothers, sisters, etc.
initiatory instructions (Upadesh), journey, and parent's death. BP 14-4. Female and Male Co-born: If
lord of the 3rd house is a female planet or if 3rd house be occupied by female planets, one will have
sisters born after him. BP 14-6. Happiness in this respect will come to pass if Mars or lord of the 3rd
house is in an angle or in a trine or in exaltation, or friendly divisions. BP 24-32. If lord of the 3rd house
is in 8th house, the native will be a thief, will derive his livelihood serving others, and will die at the gate
of the royal palace.Effects of 4th house (Bandhu Bhava)Indications of 4th house: Conveyances, relatives,
mother, happiness, treasure, lands and buildings are to be consulted through 4th house. BP 15-15. A
malefic related to 4th house (and to its lord) will produce only malefic effects (in respect of
conveyances). BP 15-17. Should a malefic be in 4th, aspects 4th, or in conjunct with the lord of 4th, or
an aspect on the lord of 4th house, one will experience losses concerning vehicles and reduce one to
severe accidents. BP 24-45. If lord of the 4th house is in 9th house, the native will be dear to one and
all, be devoted to God, be virtuous, honourable, and endowed with every land of happiness. BP 25-23.
If Vyatipata is in 4th house, the native will be endowed with relatives, etc., but not sons and fortunes.
SA 30-77. Saturn in the 4th house: If Saturn occupies the 4th house, the native will suffer heart disease
or be broken-hearted, be devoid of relatives, conveyances, wealth, intelligence and happiness, will
suffer sickness in boyhood and will have (prominent) nails and hair. HS 21-85. If Saturn is in 4th
house, one will be troubled by his own relatives, will not have many sons, and will be unhappy.

Effects of the 5th house (Putra Bhava)Indications of 5th house:

The learned should deduce from 5th house amulets, sacred spells, learning, knowledge, sons, royalty (or
authority), fall of position, etc. BP 16-1. Should lord of the 5th house be in 6th, 8th, or 12th house,
there will be no offspring. BP 16-8. If lord of the 5th house is in 6th, 8th, or 12th house, or be in an
inimical sign, or be in fall, or in 5th itself, the native will beget issues with difficulty. BP 24-54. If lord of
the 5th house is in 6th house, the native will obtain such sons who will be equal to his enemies, or will
lose them, or will acquire an adopted or purchased son. SA 34-32. Issuelessness: If the 5th house falls
in a malefic's sign and be occupied by strong malefics without benefic's aspect, the native will be
childless.

Effects of the 6th house (Ari Bhava) Indications of 6th house:

Maternal uncle, doubts about death, enemies, ulcers, step-mother, etc., are to be estimated from 6th
house. BP 17-2. Relatives Affected: The significator of a relative or the lord of such a house joining lord
of the 6th house, or being in 6th, or 8th house, indicates ulcers/bruises to such a relative like father. The
Sun with such lordship and in such a house denotes such affectation of head, the Moon denotes such
affection of the face, Mars denotes such affection of the neck, Mercury denotes such affection of the
navel, Jupiter denotes such affection of the nose, Venus denotes such affection of the eyes, Saturn
denotes such affection of the feet, and Rahu and Ketu denote such affection of the abdomen. BP 17-3.
If the Sun is the lord of 6th house, or is with lord of the 6th house, or is in 6th, or 8th house, the native
will be apt to incur affliction of head, and so on and so forth. BP 24-64. If lord of the 6th house is in
4th house, the native will be devoid maternal happiness, be intelligent, be a talebearer, be jealous, evil-
minded, and very rich. SA 30-54. Jupiter in the 6th house: If Jupiter is in the 6th house, the native will
lack digestive fire and masculine virile, be humiliated, weak, indolent, will become famous on account of
females, will destroy his enemies and be widely famous. HS 21-62. In 6th house, Jupiter will give no
enemies, make him a minister of the king, and prudent.

Effects of the 7th house (Yuvati Bhava) Indications of 7th house:

Wife, travel, trade, loss of sight, death, etc., be known from 7th house. BP 18-3. If Venus conjunct a
malefic in any house will cause loss of wife. BP 18-5. Conversely, if 7th lord is in fall or is combust or is
in an Enemy's sign, one will acquire sick wives and many wives. BP 18-12. If 7th house is occupied or
owned by Saturn/Mars, the native will beget a harlot as his spouse or he will be attached to other
illegally. BP 18-14. If Venus is so related to Saturn, the native will "kiss" the private parts of the male.
BP 18-38. If Venus is in 8th house while his dispositor is in a sign of Saturn, death of wife will take place
during the native's 12th or 21st year of age. BP 24-76. If lord of the 7th house is in 4th house, the wife
of the native will not be under his control. He will be fond of truth, intelligent, and religious. He will
suffer from dental diseases. BP 25-46. If Indrachapa is in 7th house, the native will be wealthy,
endowed with all virtues, learned in Shastras, religious, and agreeable. BP 25-47. If Upaketu (Dhwaja)
is in 7th house, the native will be interested in gambling, be sensuous, will enjoy pleasures, and will
befriend prostitutes. SA 34-44. Should Mars and Venus be together in the 5th or 7th or 9th, the native
will beget a languid or deformed wife.

Effects of the 8th house (Randhra Bhava) Indications of 8th house:

8th house indicates longevity, battle, enemies, forts, wealth of the dead, and things that have happened
and are to happen (in the past and future births). BP 19-4. The lord of the 10th house is in 8th along
with a malefic planet and/or the ascendant lord. BP 19-6. If the lords of 5th, 8th, and 1st house are in
own Navamshas, own signs or in friendly signs, the native will enjoy a long span of life. BP 24-90. If
lord of the 8th is in 6th house, the native will win over his enemies, be afflicted by diseases and during
childhood will incur danger through snakes and water. SA 30-8. The Sun in the 8th house: If the Sun
occupies the 8th house, the native will have deformed eyes, be devoid of wealth and happiness, be
short lived and will suffer separation from his relatives. SA 30-44. Mercury in the 8th house: If
Mercury occupies the 8th house, the native will win famous names (i.e. titles), be strong, long-lived, will
support his family and be equal to a king or will become a justice. SA 30-68. Venus in the 8th house:
If Venus is in the 8th house, the native will be long-lived, will enjoy incomparable happiness, be very
rich, be equal to a king and moment after moment will feel delighted. HS 21-14. Should the Sun be in
8th house, one's eye sight will be maimed. There will not be many children. Sickness and fame will be
both present in the life of the native. HS 21-52. In 8th house, Mercury makes one famous, lord of
money, king, and wise. HS 21-75. If Jupiter is placed in 8th house, one will be of varied nature, sick,
will have wife and children, and one will be delighted. GH 880. The Sun, Mercury in the 8th house:
The native will have bad mentality, will grow on others' food, live in foreign countries, be devoid of
valour and be free from enemies. GH 882. The Sun, Venus in the 8th house: The native will have
money earned in bad ways, be ugly, will be interested in bad place, will eat the food of a bad king (i.e.
will earn money through a corrupt employer, etc.), will have bad profession and will be conquered.
GH 894. Mercury, Venus in the 8th house: The native will have a polluted physique, be unjust, will eat
others' food and serve others. He will have knowledge of the atom. GH 908. The Sun, Mercury, Venus
in the 8th house: The native will do various kind of acts, will destroy enemies, be valorous, will enjoy
happiness from children, will indulge vicious acts, and will acquire abundant grains.

Effects of the 9th house (Bhagya Bhava) Indications of 9th house:

Fortunes, wife's brother, religion, brother's wife, visits to shrines, etc., be known from 9th house. BP
20-1. Combinations for Fortunes: One will be fortunate (or affluent) if lord of the 9th house is in 9th
house with strength. BP 24-105. If lord of the 9th house is in 9th house, the native will be endowed
with abundant fortunes, virtues, and beauty, and will enjoy much happiness from co-born. SA 30-33.
Mars in the 9th house: If Mars occupies the 9th house, the native will not be skillful in acts, be odious,
will kill living beings, be not virtuous, be very sinful and honoured by the king. HS 21-41. Should Mars
be in 9th house, one will indulge in killing the people on the way. SA 32-1. If the 9th house is aspected
or occupied by its own lord, the native will make his fortunes in his own country. SA 32-6. If all the
planets aspect Jupiter posited in the 9th, the native will possess excellent guise, virtues, splendour,
sovereignty and abundant riches. SA 32-8. If the malefic in the 9th is the owner of that house then it
proves auspicious. And with a benefic's aspect it is more auspicious. SA 32-10. If a planet is exalted in
the 9th, an excellent person is born with plentifulness of wealth and gold. And if a benefic aspects the
exalted planet in question, the native will be a supreme ruler, destroyer of the band of his enemies, will
possess divine splendour and great fame. SA 32-84. If the 9th is occupied by planets, without the
company of Mercury or Jupiter , the native will be sickly, ugly, void of relatives, be troubled by
imprisonments and will suffer penury. GH 11. If Rahu occupies the 9th or the 10th, the native will die
at 16, though Indra, Lord of Lords, may try to protect him.

Effects of the 10th house (Karma Bhava) Indications of 10th house:

Royalty (authority), place, profession (livelihood), honour, father, living in foreign lands and debts are to
be understood from 10th house. BP 21-4. If Rahu is in an angle or in a trine, he will perform religious
sacrifices like Jyotishtoma. BP 24-116. If the lord of the 10th house is in 8th, the native will be devoid
of (good) acts, long-lived and intent on blaming others. BP 25-60. If Parivesha is in 10th house, the
native will be versed in arts, will enjoy pleasures, be strong-bodied, and be learned in all Shastras.

Effects of the 11th house (Labha Bhava) Indications of 11th house:

All articles, son's wife, income, prosperity, quadrupeds, etc., are to be understood from 11th house.
BP 22-11. There will be no gains in spite of numerous efforts if lord of the 11th house is in fall, in
combustion, or be in 6th, 8th, or 12th house with a malefic. BP 24-128. If lord of the 11th house is in
8th, the native will incur reversals in his undertakings and will live long while his wife will predecease
him. BP 25-70. If Gulika is in 11th house, the native will enjoy women of class, be a leader of men, be
helpful to his relatives, be short stature, and be an emperor. SA 34-58. If the 11th house is aspected
by (or associated with) all the planets, advent of wealth will be in several ways. The strongest of those
will have the highest influence.
Effects of the 12th house (Vyaya Bhava)Indications of 12th house:

From 12th house, one can know about expenses, history of enemies, one's own death, etc.. BP 23-2.
One will own beautiful houses and beds and be endowed with superior scented articles and pleasures if
the Moon happens to be lord of the 12th house and be exalted, or be in its own sign and/or Navamsha
or in 11th/9th/5th house in sign/Navamsha. The said native will live with rich clothes, and ornaments,
be learned and lordly. BP 23-3. And if lord of the 12th house is in 6th, or 8th, or be in enemy's
Navamsha, in debilitation Navamsha, or in 8th in Navamsha, one will be devoid of happiness from wife,
be troubled by expenses and deprived of general happiness. BP 24-134. If lord of the 12th house is in
2nd house, the native will always spend on inauspicious deeds, be religious, will speak sweetly, and will
be endowed with virtues and happiness.

Effects of the Sun SA 22-40. Should the Sun at birth be in a sign of Jupiter and be aspected by the
Moon, the native will be endowed with eloquent speech, wisdom, wealth and sons. He will be equal to a
king and be devoid of misery. He will also possess a pleasing body. SA 22-54. The Sun in Pisces: If the
Sun is in Pisces at birth, one will be friendly, will have tendency to amass, be fond of women and happy,
be learned, will destroy many enemies and be wealthy and rich. He will be endowed with wife, good
sons and servants, will have wealth on account of transactions via sea/river, be an eloquent speaker but
a liar, will suffer from diseases of the private parts and will have many a co-born. SA 45-4. If the Sun is
in a friendly sign, one will be firm in friendship and be charitable.

Effects of the Moon SA 23-37. The Moon in Virgo: If the Moon occupies Virgo at birth, one will be
addicted to women, will have long hands, attractive body and face, beautiful teeth, eyes and ears, be
learned, be a religious preceptor (teaching Vedas etc.), be an eloquent speaker, be truthful and pure,
valorous, be kind to living beings, be interested in others' affairs, be of forgiving disposition, be
fortunate, will have more daughters but not many sons. SA 23-38. If the Moon occupies Virgo at birth
and is aspected by the Sun, the native will be in charge of royal wealth, be famous, will keep up his
word, and perform distinguished acts. SA 23-40. Should it be Mercury that lends aspect to the Moon
in Virgo, the native will be expert in astrology and literature, be successful in disputes/quarrels, and be
highly skillful to a surprising extent. SA 23-41. Jupiter aspecting the Moon in Virgo indicates that the
native will be supreme among his relatives, be happy, will carry out royal duties, will keep up his word
and will be endowed with wealth. SA 23-42. If Venus aspects the Moon in Virgo, the person will have
many wives, be endowed with many kinds of makeups, pleasures and wealth and will always be blessed
with fortunes.

Effects of Mars SA 25-1. Mars in Aries: If Mars at birth occupies Aries, the native will be splendorous,
truthful, valorous, be a king, be fond of war, interested in adventurous acts, be an army chief, or head of
a village or a band; be delighted, charitable be endowed with a number of cows, goats etc., and grains,
be fierce and will join many women. SA 45-3. If Mars occupies such a sign, the native will be opulent,
impetuous and firm in disposition.

Effects of Mercury SA 26-12. Mercury in Pisces: Should Mercury be in Pisces, one will-be fond of good
conduct and purity, will live in foreign countries, be issueless, poor, will have a chaste wife, be virtuous,
fortunate, be devoid of religion, be skillful in stitching etc., and be devoid of profane knowledge,
acquaintance with Shastras and fine arts, will be proficient in bagging other's wealth and will be devoid
of wealth. SA 26-18. If the Moon aspects Mercury in Sagittarius/Pisces, the native will be a writer, be
beautiful par excellence, be very affluent, trustworthy, amiable and happy. SA 45-5. Mercury in
debilitation indicates one to be mean and causes enmity with his cousins and other relatives.

Effects of Jupiter SA 27-10. Jupiter in Capricorn: Jupiter in Capricorn denotes that the native will be
less virile, will experience much grief and difficulties, will be mean in conduct, be a dunce, will meet a
bad end, will suffer from penury, will serve others, will be bereft of auspiciousness, mercy, purity,
affection to his relatives and of religion, will have an emaciated body, be timid, interested in living in
other countries and be depressed of spirits. SA 27-19. If Jupiter is in a house of Saturn and is aspected
by Saturn, the native will be endowed with incomparable learning, be supreme, be a king of his country,
be rich with attendants and quadrupeds and will enjoy pleasures. SA 45-5. Jupiter in debilitation
brings dirtiness, dishonor and utter poverty.

Effects of Venus SA 28-12. Venus in Pisces: If Venus is posited in Pisces at birth, one will be courteous,
liberal, virtuous, very wealthy, will destroy enemies, be famous in the world, excellent, distinguished,
dear to king, be endowed with good speech and wisdom, be liberal, will derive wealth and respect from
the virtuous, will keep up his promise, will maintain his family members and be endowed with
knowledge. SA 28-18. If Venus is in Sagittarius or Pisces and is aspected by the Moon, one will be
famous, be kingly, will eat rich food, be distinguished and will possess incomparable strength. SA 45-
1. If Venus is exalted one will be fond of sports, amusements, music, dance etc.

Effects of Saturn SA 29-8. Saturn in Scorpio: If Saturn occupies Scorpio at birth, the native will be
hostile, be crooked, affected by poison and weapons, very ill-tempered, miserly, egoistic, rich, capable
of stealing others' money, averse to instruments played on festive occasions, malicious, very miserable
and will face destruction, misery and diseases. SA 29-13. If Saturn is in Aries or Scorpio and is aspected
by Mars, one will kill animals, be base, be a leader of robbers, be famous and be fond of (joining other)
women, meat and wine. SA 45-6. When Saturn occupies an inimical camp, the native will be dirty and
be distressed due to diseases and the like. Avasthas of Planets SA 45-35. If the Moon is in Netrapani
Avastha, the native will be troubled by great diseases (long lasting in nature), be very garrulous, wicked,
and he will indulge in bad deeds. SA 45-61. If Mars is with strength, while in Bhojan Avastha, the
native will eat sweet-food. SA 45-76. Mars in Bhojan Avastha in houses other than 5th and 8th will
confer wealth. SA 45-88. If Mercury is in Netrapani Avastha, the native will be devoid of learning,
wisdom, well wishers, and satisfaction but he will be honourable. SA 45-100. If Jupiter is in Netrapani
Avastha the native will be afflicted by diseases; he will be devoid of wealth, be fond of music and
dances, libidinous, tawny in complexion and he will be attached to people of other castes. SA 45-119.
Should Venus be in Bhojan Avastha, the native will be distressed due to hunger, diseases, and many
kinds of fear from enemies. SA 45-123.

Effects of Saturn's Avasthas at Birth:

 If Saturn is in Sayan Avastha, the native will be troubled by hunger and thirst; he will incur diseases in
boyhood; and later on he will become wealthy. SA 45-147. If Rahu is in Nidr Avastha the native will be
a repository of virtues; he will be endowed with wife and children; he will be bold, proud, and very
affluent. SA 45-151. If Ketu is in Netrapani Avastha, the native will contract eye diseases, and will have
fear from wicked people, snakes, enemies, and people of royal family. SA 45-162. If a malefic is in
Bhojan Avastha, everything (related to the house concerned) will be destroyed and there is no need of a
second thought. SA 45-165. Untimely death due to royal wrath will come to pass if there is a malefic in
8th house in Nidr Avastha or in Sayan Avastha. SA 45-166. If in the case of a malefic in 8th house in
Nidr Avastha or Sayan Avastha, there happen to be a benefic aspect or the conjunct of a benefic.
(untimely) death will be in the river Ganges, i.e. Gangetic belt, shrines, etc..

Marak (Killer) Planets

SA 44-12. If 3rd house receives an aspect from, or is occupied by Saturn and Rahu, death will be through
poison, water, or fire, or fall from heights, or confinement.

SA 44-16. and if 3rd house is occupied by a malefic death will be in sinful places.

SA 44-19. With other planets in 3rd house, there will be unconsciousness before death.

SA 44-20. According to 3rd house being a movable, a fixed, or a dual sign, death will be respectively in a
foreign place (other than native birth place), in one's own house, or on the way.

SA 44-21. Occupants of 8th house: Note the occupant of 8th house: If it is the Sun, death will be through
fire;

SA 44-21. if Mercury is in 8th house, death will be through fever;

SA 44-21. if Venus is in 8th house, death will be through hunger;

SA 44-22. If 8th house is occupied by or receives an aspect from a malefic, while lord of the 9th house is
conjunct with a malefic, death will be in a place other than a shrine.

Effects of the Moon in a Nakshatra

HS 28-12. Should Uttaraphalguni be one's birth Nakshatra, one will be liked by his wife (or women), be
fortunate, will lead men, be wise, have income from the sovereign, many wives, will have a liberal mind,
be luxuries, and will talk much.

Effects of the Moon in a sign

HS 29-6. One born with the Moon in Virgo will be dirty, will have limited happiness and wealth, be very
intelligent, virtuous, will hate his relatives, be comfortable, phlegmatic and windy in temperament, will
have more daughters and few sons, will have beautiful face, will like women, very fickleminded, dear to
his relatives, be wise, long lived, will talk sweetly, be intent on gathering money, will end his life
peacefully, and will have an eye on others' money.
Effects of the Moon in Navamsha

Effects of Birth in the Several Amshas HS 30-2. The native with Taurus Navamsha will be wise, will
enjoy pleasures, and will have a big stomach. He will be strong, long-faced, will walk awkwardly, will
have moving eye-balls (from one side to the other), and will possess many daughters. Difficulties and
diseases can be expected in the 22nd, 10th, 23rd, or 72nd year of age.

Effects of Horas SA 49-6. One born in the first Hora of Leo will have blood-red eyes, be bold, be
endowed with a large and long physique, be crooked, happy and decidedly firm in his undertakiugs.
SA 49-14. The (good effects) due to a Hora will come to pass in full measure if either the Sun or the
Moon is strong in aspect to the ascendant lord or if the ascendant lord is himself in an angle.

Effects of Decanates SA 50-5. One born in the first decanate of Leo will be liberal, will maintain
people, will conquer his enemies, will have abundant wealth, many wives and good friends, will serve
many kings and be very mighty.

Effects of Navamshas SA 51-5. Effects of Leo Ascendant, Second Navamsha: The native will have a
prominent and broad fore face, a square body, broad eyes, broad chest, long arms and big nose.

YOGAs

General Yogas SA 35-4. If all planets are in 5 signs, Paash Yoga is formed. SA 35-33. Paash Yoga:
One born in Paash Yoga will be liable to be imprisoned, be skilful in work, be deceiving in disposition, will
talk a lot, will be bereft of good qualities and will have many servants. Many other Yogas SA 36-7.
Kahal Yoga: Should the lord of the 4th house and Jupiter be in mutual angles, while ascendant's lord is
strong, Kahal Yoga occurs. Alternatively, the lord of the 4th house being in his own or exaltation sign
should be conjunct with lord of the 10th house. In effect, the native will be energetic, adventurous,
charming, endowed with a complete army consisting of chariots, elephants, horses and infantry, and he
will lord over a few villages. Multi Planetary Yogas SA 15-3. SUN-MERCURY YOGA: If the Sun and
Mercury are in one house, the native will be in service, will have unsteady wealth, be sweet in speech,
will have fame and money, will be noble, dear to the king and good people and will possess strength,
beauty and learning. SA 15-5. SUN-VENUS YOGA: If the Sun and Venus are together, one will be
skillful in use of weapons, be mighty, weak-sighted in old age, will be able to amuse the public and will
have abundant money earned through women. SA 15-17. MERCURY-VENUS YOGA: Should Mercury
and Venus be together at birth, the native will be abundantly rich, a politician, an artisan, will study
Vedas, be good in speech, will know how to sing, make fun and like scents and flowers. SA 16-11.
MERCURY-SUN-VENUS YOGA: If Mercury, Sun and Venus are together, the native will be insatiable,
talkative, intent on wandering, and subjected to grief on account of women. SA 17-17. SUN-
MERCURY-VENUS YOGA: With these planets in one house, one will be wealthy, happy, in the lead, will
have cherished desires, will have relatives and will be noble. The Moon's Yogas SA 37-1. If the Moon
with reference to the Sun is in an angle, one's wealth, intelligence and skill will not be much. SA 37-4.
In the case of a day birth, if the Moon is placed in its own Navamsha, or in a friendly Navamsha, receives
an aspect from Jupiter, one will be endowed with wealth and happiness. SA 37-6. In a contrary
situation, the aspect from Jupiter, or from Venus on the Moon will make one go with little wealth, or
even without that. The Sun's Yogas SA 38-1. Veshi, Voshi, and Abhayachari Yogas: Barring the Moon,
if a planet among Mars etc. be in the 2nd from the Sun, Veshi Yoga is formed; SA 38-2. Effects of
Veshi, Voshi, and Ubhayachari Yogas: One born in Veshi Yoga will be even sighted, truthful, long bodied,
indolent, happy, and endowed with negligible wealth. SA 38-4. Benefics causing Veshi, Voshi, or
Ubhayachari Yogas will give the above mentioned effects, while malefics will produce contrary effects.
Raja Yogas SA 35-2. According to Yavanas, if only malefics are exalted, the native will become a king
indulging in cruel deeds. But as per Jeevasharma, such planets will make one valorous but not a king.
One with such a Yoga (according to Kalyanavarma) will be honored and will become the head of a
region. SA 35-25. The Moon in the state of her fullness if be in aspect to Venus, Jupiter and Mercury
while the lord of the ascendant is endowed with strength, one so born will become a king. The
ascendant in question should be in a dual sign and be in Vargothamamsha. SA 39-4. One will be
related to royal circles if Venus is the Karakamsha, or in the 5th there from, or in ascendant, or in
Arudha ascendant receiving an aspect from, or conjunct with Jupiter or the Moon. SA 39-5. Even if a
single planet gives an aspect to the natal ascendant or Hora ascendant or Ghatika ascendant, the native
will become a king. SA 39-14. If the Atma Karaka planet is in a benefic's sign/Navamsha, the native
will be wealthy. SA 39-15. If there are benefics in angles from Karakamsha ascendant, he will become
a king. SA 39-31. Should the Moon and Venus be mutually in 3rd and 11th house and receiving
aspects from each other while they are placed elsewhere (i.e. not in 3rd and 11th house), a Raja Yoga is
obtained. SA 39-34. If one or two or three planets are in exaltation, one of a royal scion will become a
king, while another will be equal to a king or be wealthy. HS 20-9. Should the Moon, in the case of a
day birth, be in her own Navamsha or in exaltation Navamsha, or in a friendly Navamsha, or receive an
aspect from Jupiter, the person will become a king. HS 20-17. Should the Moon, full of her digits, be
in an angle, other than ascendant, (i.e. 4th, 7th, or 10th house), and receives an aspect from Jupiter and
Venus, the native lords over the earth. Yogas for Royal Association SA 40-4. If Atma Karaka is strong
and is with a benefic or Amatya Karaka is in its own house or in exaltation, one will surely become a
king's minister. SA 40-4. If Atma Karaka or Amatya Karaka is placed in an angle or in a trine the native
will beget royal mercy, royal patronage, and happiness thereof. Combinations for Wealth Combinations
for Penury SA 42-5. If the ascendant's lord along with a malefic is in 6th, 8th, or 12th house, while the
lord of the 2nd house is in an enemy's sign, or in debilitation, even a native of royal scion will become
penniless. SA 42-9. The lord of the Navamsha occupied by the Moon, joining a Marak planet or
occupying a Marak house will make one penniless. Longevity SA 43-32. If Saturn or ascendant's lord is
conjunct with any exalted planet, long life will result. SA 43-36. 0 excellent of the Brahmins, if a

Sumukha Yoga The lord of the 2nd house is in a Kendra aspected by benefics, or benefics occupy the
2nd house (Sarvartha Chintamani 3/26). Result : The person will have a happy and attractive face. Veshi
Yoga A planet, other than Moon, occupies the 2nd house from Sun. Look out for the variety with the
same name. Result : The person will be truthful, lazy, kind-hearted, virtuously disposed, with squinted
eyes, having a tall stature and a balanced outlook, with good memory and ordinary wealth. Veshi Yoga
(Mangal) Mars occupies the 2nd house from Sun. Result : This variety of Veshi Yoga shows that the
person is valorous in battle, a charioteer, and renowned. Buddhmaturya yoga The 5th house lord, as a
benefic, is aspected by a benefic or is placed in a benefic sign (Sarvartha Chintamani 5/32). Result : The
person is a person of great intelligence and character. ThivraBuddh Yoga The lord of the Navamsha sign
in which the lord of a benefic 5th house is placed, is aspected by benefics (Sarvartha Chintamani 5/33).
Result : The person is incredibly intelligent. Tirthayatra Yoga A benefic planet in the 8th house aspected
by another benefic (Sambu Hora Prakasha 14/9). Result : The person will go on a pilgrimage and visit
many places that have religious or spiritual significance to him/her. Parvata Yoga The lords of Lagna
and 12th house are placed in mutual Kendras and aspected by benefics. Result : The person is
renowned, illustrious, fortunate, wealthy, an orator, charitable, leader of a town or a city, learned and
very lustful. Kahala Yoga Lords of the 4th and the 9th in mutual Kendras, and the lord of Lagna is

cancels the evil of Kemadruma Yoga. Nicha-Bhanga Raja Yoga The exaltation lord of the debilitated
planet is in a Kendra from Moon. Result : This Yoga indicates cancellation of the state of debilitation of a
planet and yielding benefic results instead, being elevated to a Raja Yoga status. Nicha-Bhanga Raja
Yoga The debilitated planet is associated with or aspected by its debilitation lord. Result : This Yoga
indicates cancellation of the state of debilitation of a planet and yielding benefic results instead, being
elevated to a Raja Yoga status. Nicha-Bhanga Raja Yoga The debilitated planet is conjunct an exalted
planet. Result : This Yoga indicates cancellation of the state of debilitation of a planet and yielding
benefic results instead, being elevated to a Raja Yoga status. Arishta-Bhanga Yoga Moon is in Drekkana
of Mercury or Jupiter. Result : This combination cancels or neutralizes Balarishta Yoga which threatens
death to the newborn child.

Malific YOGAS
 Jada Yoga The lord of the 2nd house is placed in the 10th along with malefics or the 2nd house is
occupied with Sun and Mandi or Lord of the 2nd house conjunct Sun or Mandi (Sarvartha Chintamani
3/34). Result : The person becomes nervous and loses the balance of his mind when speaking in front of
a group of people. Parannabhojana Yoga The lord of the 2nd is debilitated or in unfavorable Navamsha
sign and aspected by a debilitated planet (Sarvartha Chintamani 3/141). Result : The person will depend
upon others for food supply and may eat defective food. Kapata Yoga The lord of the 4th house is
conjunct or aspected, or hemmed in by malefics and a malefic is in the 4th house (Sarvartha Chintamani
4/139). Result : The person will become a hypocrite, concealing his/her own feeling and seldom
revealing his mind. Kemadruma Yoga Absence of any planet, except Sun, in the 2nd and 12th house
from Moon. Result : The person is bereft of health, wealth, learning, wisdom, spouse, progeny and
mental peace. The person suffers misery, failures, physical illness and humiliation. This is said to reduce
a prince to a pauper (look for Kalpadruma Yoga or Kemadruma-Bhanga Yoga for cancellation). Ava Yoga
The lord of the Lagna is in the 6th, 8th or 12th house (Phala Deepika 6/58). Result : The person might be
of no significance, unknown and of no importance to others, possibly short-lived and poor. Humiliation,
company of the wicked, bad behaviour and unsteady position are descriptive of the persons life. Nissva
Yoga The lord of the 2nd house is in the 6th, 8th or 12th house (Phala Deepika 6/59). Result : The person
will be harsh in speech, remain in bad company and will have ill formed teeth and eyes, bereft of
intelligence, children, learning and power, wealth being taken away by foes. Mriti Yoga The lord of the
3rd house is in the 6th, 8th or 12th house (Phala Deepika 6/60). Result : The person will be annihilated
by his/her enemies, devoid of (younger) siblings, shame, strength and wealth. The person will be tired
by indulging in unseemly activity and will be of excitable temperment. Pamara Yoga The lord of the 5th
house is in the 6th, 8th or 12th house (Phala Deepika 6/62). Result : The person will be indiscriminate
and have a miserable life, a liar, a cheat, childless or suffering from the loss of children, associating with
mean and wicked people, lacking the faith in God and will be a glutton. Duryoga The lord of the 10th
house is in the 6th, 8th or 12th house (Phala Deepika 6/67). Result : The person will be of no
importance, a traitor and very selfish, only earning to satisfy own hunger, constantly away from home
and lives abroad. Aputra Yoga The lord of the 5th house is placed in a Trik house, (and the 5th house is
not strong and devoid of the presence of full or waxing Moon) (Phala Deepika 12/2).. Result : The person
will have no children. Bandhubhisthyaktha Yoga The lord of the 4th house is connected to malefics or
holds bad Shasthiamshas or is placed in enemy or debilitation signs (Sarvartha Chintamani 4/68). Result :
The person will have trouble with his close relatives, due to misunderstanding or be deserted by them.
Matrunasa Yoga Moon is hemmed between malefics, or conjunct or aspected by malefics (Sarvartha
Chintamani 4/133). Result : The mother of the person dies early. Vishaprayoga Yoga The 2nd house
holds or is aspected by malefics and the 2nd house lord is in a cruel Navamsha aspected by a malefic

holds or is aspected by malefics, Mercury and Moon are in Trik houses or aspected by malefics (Major
S.G. Khout). Result : The person is vulnerable to the development of a mental disorder. Arishta
Matibhramana Yoga Mercury is weak and conjunct a malefic in the 3rd, 6th, 8th or 12th house (Major
S.G. Khout). Result : The person is vulnerable to the development of a mental disorder.
Mukabadhiramdha Yoga Sun is in a Trik house with Venus or the Lagna Lord (Sambu Hora Prakasha 14).
Result : The person might have been born blind. Hillaja Netradosha Yoga Mars is in a malefic sign or in a
Kendra receiving an aspect from another malefic planet (Sambu Hora Prakasha 14/67). Result : The
person will be vulnerable to blindness. Alpayu Yoga Lagna lord and the 8th house lord, both occupy a
Sthira sign, or one in a Chara sign and the other in Dvisvabhava sign. Result : This combination indicates

Daridra Yoga The lord of the 11th house is in a Dusthana (the 6th, 8th or 12th houses). Result : The
person will attain huge debts, suffer poverty, will have hearing troubles, have a mean temperament, and
indulge in sinful and unlawful activity. Daridra Yoga The lord of the 11th house is in the 6th, 8th or 12th
house (Phala Deepika 6/68). Result : Incoming debts will constantly be the way of life for the person,
suffering from diseases of the ear, deprived of good siblings, engaged in cruelity and sins, indecent in
speech and work like a menial. Daridra Yoga Lagna lord, associated with a malefic, is in a Dusthana, and
the 2nd house lord debilitated or in the 6th house. Result : Under these influences one born of a royal
family also attains to poverty. Daridra Yoga The lords of the houses occupied by the Dusthana lords, are
in the Dusthanas themselves and conjunct or aspected by Malefics. Result : The person might suffer
