NARRATIVE REPORT ON SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT (SSG)
ELECTION 2019-2020
In pursuant to DepEd Order No. 25, s. 2018 School Calendar for School Year 2018-2019, DepEd
Order No. 11 s. 2016 Additional Guidelines on the Constitution and by-laws of the Supreme Student
Government and Supreme Pupils Government in Elementary and Secondary Schools and DepEd Order
No. 47 s. 2014 entitled Constitution and By-Laws of the Supreme Student Government and Supreme
Pupils in Elementary and Secondary Schools , the Ligao City National Technical Vocational High School
conducted SSG Election for the school year 2019-2020. This was facilitated by Myrasol Brioso-Tolarba
(SSG Adviser), the outgoing SSG officers and the faculty of LCNTVHS.

Prior to the election, the aspiring candidates filled out an official Certificate of Candidacy as
issued on February 04, 2019. Parental Consent and other requirements were later filed together with
the official COCs.

Filing of Candidacy
 After the submission of the Certificate of Candidacy, the evaluation of candidates’ qualification
was facilitated by Mrs. Christina Lunas (Guidance Coordinator), Mrs. Marivic Ragual (Master Teacher),
Mrs. Marjorie R. Plazo (SSP1) together with the SSG Adviser on February 23, 2019. The candidates’
qualifications were carefully scrutinized based on their capabilities and platforms. After thorough
evaluation, the Official List of Candidates was released.

Due to the formation of a single electoral party, the Board of Election and the LCNTVHS faculty
declared that an election proper is no longer necessary. Nevertheless, a room to room campaign was
still conducted on February 12-13 to introduce the candidates and their platforms, and persuade the
students to bestow their trust to the incoming SSG officers.
The Oath Taking Ceremony was successfully done last February 21, 2019.
