Causana, Maynas Province, Department of
Loreto, Peru.

Service for the supply of electricity through the

photovoltaic system Under House Arrest (SFVD)
installed in each house, the main components of
each SFVD are the following:

1.2.1 General data
2.1.1 Name of the project
"ELECTRIFICATION WITH SOLAR HOME SYSTEMS IN
RURAL COMMUNITIES OF THE DISTRICTS OF THE NAPO
AND TORRES CAUSANA, MAYNAS PROVINCE, LORETO
DEPARTMENT, REPUBLIC OF PERU"

2.1.2 Location of the Project

The project is located at:
- District of Napo and district of Torres Causana
- Maynas province,
- Department of Loreto.
- Republic of Peru.
The area of influence where the project is located in the districts of
the Napo and Torres Causana that are found in the basin of the
Napo river.
2.1.3 Executing Unit
The Regional Government of Loreto - GORE LORETO.
1.2.2 Objectives
The objective of the project is to provide electricity to rural communities in
the districts of the Napo and Torres Causana, taking as a source of solar
photovoltaic energy generation that is one of the main renewable energy
resources (RER) that is available on the Department of Loreto.

The project consists of installing Solar Home Systems (SFVD) in each of

the households in the 71 communities in the district of the Napo and 14
communities in the district of Torres Causana.

The provision of electrical energy home care, will significantly improve the
living conditions of the population of the communities due to provide better
quality lighting in homes and will replace the current methods of lighting
with lighters that use oil as fuel.

 1.2.3 Goals
2.1.1 Physical Goals
The physical goals include the installation of two thousand six hundred
three (2.603) SFVD - Solar Home Systems in communities in the districts
of Napo (2.037) and Torres Causana (566).
2.1.2 Beneficiaries
The direct beneficiaries will be the 12.500 inhabitants of the communities
in the districts of Napo (10.000 inhabitants) and the district of Torres
Causana (2.500 inhabitants), which are in 2.037 Homes and 566
dwellings respectively, who shall have power for lighting home interior.

The project will benefit the Districts of the Napo and Torres Causana, with
this project will improve the coefficient of electrification, and in the
medium-term can be noted the incidence in the improved school
performance of students in the targeted communities. In addition, it will
prevent the contaminated with the use of lamparines on the inside of the
housing.

1.2.4 Execution modality

The mode of implementation of the project will be by indirect
administration as a project of public investment or as a public-private
partnership.
