McMinnville Toy Store To Host Summer Food and Toy Drive for Children
Hopscotch is Collecting Donations for Underprivileged Families on Behalf of The Yamhill Community
Action Partnership

McMinnville, Ore. (May 1, 2019) - Hopscotch will host its first annual Summer Food and Toy Drive

for underprivileged families in the McMinnville community. Donations will be accepted from May 1 to

May 30.

The Summer Food and Toy Drive will benefit children in the community at a time of year when the

need for food and toys is second only to the holiday season. “When the school year ends, children

no longer have free school lunches to depend on and their parents might not be able to afford food

or toys,” said Linda Hayes, owner of Hopscotch.

The donations will be distributed through The Yamhill Community Action Partnership. YCAP believes

that communities benefit by ensuring all of their young people are provided with the basic

opportunities or services necessary to support them.

Donations should be brought to Hopscotch on 103 SE Baker St. Food donations must be cans or

non perishable food, and toys must be new or lightly used. People who donate will receive $2 in

store credit at Hopscotch.
