GoodMorning!

My name is Jaime Carillo Ochoa and I am from Guayaquil, a city on the coast of the South
of Ecuador. I like to study wild animals. I work here in the Galapagos, where there are many interesting
animals, today I’m going to take a tour of the tourists to Santa Cruz Island. Would you like to join us?
Let’s go!

Santa Cruz is one of the largest islands of the Galapagos, this is far from Ecuador, about 600 miles west
of the country an equatorial line, the animals are meek; they are not afraid because for many years
these islands were uninhabited.

Let's start, and please be careful. There are iguanas everywhere and we must not set foot.

In the Galapagos there are 58 types of birds. On the right you can see a bird called the blue paws. As the
name indicates, these have blue legs. There are many Penguins too. Ah! Look! There's a pincine on top
of that Stone. Some tourists like to dive with respiration to look at the pinguins swimming underwater.
Penguins can't fly but can swim quickly.

Another famous animal is the sea lion. You can see some there in the water. Babies like to play with
humans, but watch out, male males aren't so sympathetic

Now, let's go to the Turtle Reserve in Santa Cruz. You will see the species that is best known by the
tourist: the giant tortoise. One of these turtles can weigh 550 pounds. These animals are vegetarians.
They don't eat meat Their diet seems to be healthy because giant tortoises live approximately 150 years.
The animals and plants of the Galapagos are different from those of the continent because of the lack of
contact with other species. Many species arr found only in the water. We hope you enjoy your
observations.
