There are many different types of collectibles for instance collecting bobbleheads, models,

and legos. Legos are a good display item.Sometimes if have a Lego set has been around for a

long time you should find the instructions make sure all the pieces are there and try to sell it

usually for a little more than what you bought it for. If you were a collector who collected comic

books you might buy a box of comics for 50 bucks and hopefully have a few comics in there that

will sell for more than that to get your money back. Plus you will still have some of the comics

to keep for yourself. Not a lot of people trade collectibles anymore because overtime some

collectibles become more valuable. For instance people that collect historical artifacts or rather

comics special edition comics might not trade it but will sell because of the value that some of

these things are worth.

A lot of people don’t know that collecting is ether a very interesting or it is the most

boring thing in the world. If you think about if everyone on the face of the planet was collecting

collectibles the value of some collectibles would go down. Collecting is a passion the only some

people have so if you you do have this passion you should follow through with whatever

collectibles you like to collect. Let's talk about one of the most common collectibles. This

collectible that were going to talk about may not be seen as a collectible but trust me it is the

collectible, talking about is Legos. Legos are a great collectible as much as they are a good toy,

kids of all ages and there are also more complex lego Sets for older people these lego sets have a

lot more moving pieces, and a lot more small pieces so that you could build them up with more

depth in the sets. Let's start by talking about lego and how it started. Lego begins in a small

business making furniture and then moved to making toys for kids and after a long while the lego
took place. In 1961 legos where being manufactured in the us and in Canada. In 1964 lego

introduced the “kindergarten brick” or also known as the jumbo brick. The bricks are

manufactured in the us until 1971 and in Canada until 1970. In 1972 and 1973 the lego company

handles all of their own lego manufacture and all the selling of lego sets in the United States

only. The first Lego factory was constructed in 1975 in Enfield. (wonderopolis) After all of this

lego began to really take off and more and more people found out about legos and more and

more people got hooked on legos. This is when people started to want to collect legos in the

hoop that one day legos would become valuable. A lot of legos customers were kids so lego had

to make legos more relevant to the kids of that time so lego started to make legos that either

followed new movies and shows and started to make sets with comic book characters. The story

of lego is a very interesting subject to talk about and there is so much to write about.

Legos are a fun and sometimes easy but also difficult collectible. Legos are a very

well-known and growing collectible many people have or have had legos. Some of the most

common Lego sets are Lego city, superhero sets, Lego Creator sets and tack sets. Legos are such

a good collectible because they are easy to find and for the most part easy to build. The company

logo is trying to appeal to younger users because Legos helped improve problem-solving skills

and help improve creativity. Yes a lot of younger kids play with Legos for fun but also a lot of

older people have Legos as collectibles and just like any other collectible there is always a rare

one. For Legos there is not so much a single set that would be rare but a number of sets that

would’ve only been made for a certain period. When you think of Legos you don’t necessarily

think of collectible most people think of it is a toy. Although it is not as common as buying and

selling comic books or all action figures Legos are also something that people buy and sell. Not
that I’ve heard of a lot of people that buy Legos just so that they can sell them later on I’m sure

there are people like that. Then there are people that may collect Legos as a decorative piece.

The fun thing about Legos is you don’t always have to follow the instruction you can always just

go and grab a few Legos and build whatever you want. in a lot of ways Legos are more of a

collectible than any other common collectibles like comic books, old toys, historic items.

A lot of the people that collect valuable items buy the items, and they will bring it to a

pawn store or take it to a collectible meet up. It is very common for people to buy an item when

it is not old or valuable in any way and then pass it down through the generations of their family.

This is a way that requires a lot of time and patience for the person who has the item to not sell it

to early. It is also a challenge for the person to keep up on the condition of the item that they are

going to sell in the future. Rarely ever does someone have a collectible that is worth millions, but

it does happen on the occasional blue moon. Yes it does happen believe it or not like he sold for

close to one million dollars so as you can see it does happen to those few people. But usually

people are happy with getting a few hundred dollars for whatever they had to sell. for instance, a

1938 copy of action comics #1 sold for $3.21million. A lot of people hope and dream that they

will find these types of collectibles. It very rares for people to find thing like this but it all

depends on how much the person who is trying to buy the item is willing to pay for the item. But

this is not the only type of trading, there is item for money and there is also item for item. This is

like trading something for the same or close value for something with the same or close value.

People all over the world are out there trading collectibles for a different collectible of the some

or close value. There is also people that collect collectibles their whole life and then they will

call a picker to come and see what they have and see if the picker wants to buy anything that they
have to sell. So how this works is that someone comes to you house to see through all of your

collectibles and see if they would want to buy any of the items or collectibles that you have, and

you would set your price for the item or items that you want to sell to the picker. To talk about

some history of collecting, It all started with a civilization that started trading item for item and

people got really rich in there standers really fast. This all happen around five thousand years

ago. Then it a couple a hundred years small cities made a currency, and it started the buying of

good and items that were wanted but not needed by a person. From this point the trade started to

fade, and the item that people traded for other items began to get a “cash” value.

A lot of people had a lot of items that were over priced or items that were overpriced and

this was because not a lot of people knew the real price of the item that they were trying to sell

and buy. After a few hundred more years the price of all these items began to get a set price in

the way that you can buy the item for any price that you negotiate. Yes there are still a few items

that someone can still argue for the price to buy and sell. Now we are at the current time period

were yes there are those few items or things that you can negotiate but the majority of all the

items have a set buy and sell price that you can't argue the price of it. Over the few thousand

years that the trade has come from people all over the world have been collecting collectibles for

their whole lives and a lot of UNECE items and there are a lot of items or collectibles that have

been lost over the year. If they were lost to “old age” or if they were lost to bad caretaking by the

owner. A lot of different items and collectibles have been lost and many items and collectibles

have been found in lost place or forgotten cities it is the job of the people that still care to make

sure that all of the artifacts and collectibles. It is a very different thing to buy something and then
sell it right after but it is a different thing to become attached to something and then selling it to

live on with someone else.

It is very easy to just go to buy a collectible from someone that doesn't really know the

true price of the collectible and then just go and ask for a price that is very under the real or

under the profitable price for that collectible. Also a lot of people don’t know that it is very easy

to get something that they think is worth some money or at least more than what they paid for it

but then get very disappointed that it is worth less than what they paid for it. So for an example

of this situation if some walk into a pawn shop a something like a good looking action figure of

something like a Batman action figure and there was no price on it and the person gets let's say a

better commission if they sell a item for more money they are going to try and sell you the item

for some ridiculous price and you don't know how much it is worth but the price does seem a

little high for your taste so you work the price down to what you think it is worth compared to

the price the guy said he was going to charge you for it, so because the man at the counter put it

at such a high price you thought that it was a good thing that you were getting a better price

because you Bergen ed the price a little bit so you pay the money and go home happy, but still a

little worried you might have overpaid so go to the computer to look up a retail price for the the

Batman action figure and then you realize that you overpaid a good hundred dollars. This is why

if you are going to buy something like a possible expensive action figure go on the internet first

and check some of the prices that other people have paid for something like the item that you

want to buy. Did you know that collectible items aren’t all valuable. A lot of collectibles are

rarely valuable until it is one of a kind or it is very old. It is a very easy thing to think that a

collectible is valuable or it is the real thing and then it ends up being the complete opposite. In
the world of collectibles it is a very uncommon for something that just sits in your basement

because it is old. When you are trying to buy and sell collectibles it can be hard to get a good

price or even just get your money back. A lot of people go to auctions or pawn shops try to sell

their collectibles. A lot of people don’t know this but buying and selling collectibles is not

always just buying and selling right away a lot of people buying keep collectibles because they

enjoy them. If you ever seen a collectors collection they have a stockpile of different things that

they like and some things they know walking value all the time. A lot of people only collect what

they like to collect because it is fun for them. But some people collect valuable things over time

to raise their value so they can later on cell them. On the history channel there’s a show called

American pickers they go around the country looking for people with big collections usually

automotive collections but they look for everything. In the show it is two friends who run a

business and they buy collectibles and sometimes they buy collectibles just for them because

they like to have them. A lot of people don’t know that things like comic books and or toys can

be worth a lot of money but also newer things specially one of a kind things or low manufacture

things it could be toys artifacts books anything that has even major interest in the people like

those things. Did you know that some people fine collecting buying and selling items and or

collectibles as it kind of job or a way of living people will buy collectibles and then they will

wait until the clicked ages games value in a little seller for a good amount of money and that’s

her some major collectors will make their money.

A lot of item especially collectibles are like the stock market like how the price of certain

things goes up and down at any time. So if you have an item or collectible that is worth a good

amount of money that you are waiting for the price to go up even more you might want to keep
and eye on the value of that item. Some people don’t know that the value of collectibles is

mainly going off of the popularity of that item or collectible. A good example of this would be if

someone was hanging on to a Spider-Man action figure that was really popular when you bought

it but then the popularity of Spider-Man started to go down the item or collectible that you have

been hanging on to can actually drop in the price that it is worth believe it or not a lot of people

don't know this. But some items can go from a very cheap item can rise up to a very popular and

expensive item or collectible. A good example of this would be if some had a Yoda action figure

but you bought it because you thought it was cool so you didn’t twice that it might be worth any

money at all. Then one day the price of that cheap Yoda action figure can become a very popular

and a very expensive collectible. Now you have something that went from just an old toy that

you saved to an expensive action figure. This is the beauty of keeping all of our things in nice

condition. So when it comes to any sort of collectible it can go from the cheapest collectible to

one of the most valuable collectible in a single night.

So first of all is your collectible in the same packing that it came in. you want the item

that you are selling or buying to be in “mint condition” or in perfect condition. This is a very

hard thing to do especially with all of the older packing. The older packing was made out of a lot

of paper materials and not a lot of paper and plastic materials. If you are looking to sell our “mint

condition” darth vader action figure that is still in the original packing and has all the right pieces

and nothing has got scratches and digs in it you can get some good money for it, verses if the

action figure had a ter in the box and the little plastic lightsaber was missing and there was a

divot in darth vader's helmet it would be worth a lot less money then. Keeping thing in “mint

condition” matters because it is the thing that make the action figure or whatever you are trying
to sell worth some good money especially to the person who is buying the item. The reason the

people pay so much money for something that to find something in “mint condition” is near to

impossible because it is one of the hardest things to keep up on in the world of collecting if you

are a collector you now that it is very hard to keep one thing in “mint condition” imagine trying

to keep ten thing in “mint condition” all at the same time or trying to keep more than fifty items

in “mint condition” all at the same time it nearly impossible. So that is why a lot of collectors

just try and focus on five or six thing to keep in “mint condition”. If collectors are going to do

this they are most likely going to to keep some of their most valuable item or collectibles in

“mint condition”. If you have a “mint condition” action figure verse a ok shape action even if

they are the same exact action figure the action figure that is in “mint condition” is going to be

worth a lot more money than the action figure that is just good condition.

Collectables are such a easy topic to write about because there are so many different

things to write about. Collectibles aren’t just something that you just put on the shelf to collect

dust there is so much more to collectibles. Now that you know more history and buying and

selling of collectibles you have a better understanding. You now know how the price of a

collectible can change so quickly. You know that the condition of a collectible is everything for

the price of it.
