Background
Synopsis
Playwright William Shakespeare’s birthday is approximated to be
April 23rd. He is said to have been Born in Avon England. He was
not considered to be an educated man and didn’t attend
university. He was married to the Woman named Anne Hathaway,
and they had a daughter along with a set of twins. One of the
twins died, but the other twin and the daughter survived. During
the 1590’s he was writing and in 1599 he built the globe theatre. He
was extremely successful, composing 154 sonnets and 37 plays. He
death remains a mystery, but it is believed that he died on his own
birthday in 1616.

Mysterious Origins
While most of Shakespeare’s life is
bounded by mysteries, the most
prominent is his birthday. It is
said that he was born on or near
April 23rd of 1564. His death is
also a mystery, but once again it
is believed that he died on his
birthday in 1616.

Early Life
William Shakespeare was born in a
medieval market town in Stratford
Upon Avon England. Scholars
believe that he was educated at the
King’s school at Stratford- He did
not go to university.

Married Life
Records show that William Shakespeare
was married to a woman by the name of
Anne Hathaway. Supposedly, they got
married in 1585. While married, the couple
had a daughter, as well as a set of twins.
One of the male twins passed away. This
left the pair with 2 out of 3 surviving
children.

Theatrical
Beginnings
William Shakespeare began to
publish his works in 1590. In
1599, be built the globe theatre,
where many of his numerous
works were performed. He
wrote many famous plays and
created over 3,000 words
phrases we use today.

Writing Style
Shakespeare wrote Tragedies,
Comedies,Romantics, and
Histories. Among his famous
romantics are, “A midsummer
Night’s Dream” and “Romeo
and Juliet”. As far as
tragedies are concerned, he
wrote works such as “Hamlet”
and “Julius Caesar”

Early Work
Shakespeare first play
was a history play called
Henry VI Part II, and his
other early works include
Henry VI part III and Titus
Andronicus.

Later Works
Shakespeare’s later works include
The Winter's Tale, The Tempest,
Cymbeline, and Pericles.

Death
While shakespeare’s death remains a
mystery, it is speculated that he died
on his birthday in 1616.
Controversy and
Literary Legacy
Shakespeare is undoubtedly one
of the most influencial writers
of all time. He crafted numerous
famous works and created
many of the words and phrases
we use today.
