I had a theory a while back regarding it and my theory worked very well for
me, give this a try and see if it does the same for you!
When we do qigong we obtain energy and sensitivity, the energy goes where
your awareness is placed, even through sight energy is directed to where you look,
now when we observe during qigong we loose some energy, so i had the theory of
performing whilst looking at myself in the mirror, the areas im targeting during my
form are the areas i observe during this exercise.
For example im working on my middle dan tien i will also gently observe the
middle dan tien so that energy lost in sight gets directed into that area.
