After the end of lesson, students will be able to be able to identify and make use of the
web browser:
• Be able to format documents (margins and indents)
• Be able to use Auto Text, find & replace features.
• Be able to insert objects (pictures and tables)
Methods of Instructions
1. Introductory: Recalling the topic word processing last year- functions, how to open
and save
2. Demonstration on how to format documents, using Auto Text, and find & replace, also
inserting pictures.
3. Activity for students, assignment using Microsoft Word 2007: option: produce a
brochure/ flyer about computers, class timetable or article.
4. Verbal questioning, class discussion and illustration.

Access to Computer Lab, Microsoft Word application, Computer systems.

1. Introductory: recall the entire lesson’s content last week through verbal questioning.
2. Reiterate the options for the word processing assignments; to produce birthday
invitation card, brochures, and flyers about computer, newsletter and class timetable.
3. Observe and guide students’ progression on doing their assignment.
4. Demonstrate on how to get and use Microsoft Word template.
5. Students to save their word into their folder and produce the output.
6. Verbal questioning, class discussion and illustration.

2. Explanation on some new terms introduced in this lesson like: social impact, service
industry and reliance on computer.
3. Explanation on what could happen when using computer in prolonged time- and the
reason how it happen – using MS PowerPoint.
4. Introducing the words ergonomic – and demonstrating the correct posture of using
computer.
5. Discussion on safety and health precautions.

presentation.
