The Tire Model (Part 2)

Every Grand Prix Legends fan drives (or wants to drive) with a steering wheel. The force
feedback wheels provide a realistic and authentic experience. Efforts have been made to update
the force feedback in NR2003 through the physics editor. The physics guys of NR2003 believe its
either hidden in the physics editor or hardcoded in the EXE, or is it?

A long time ago when NASCAR Racing 5 was the big thing besides the new Gen6Br mod,
Pretend Racecars made a page dedicated to it and even stated it did not have any new force
feedback updates. That was back in 2014-2015. Now 2019, we still have 2003 old force feedback,
besides for NR2018.exe, which is just a feel-based EXE, not a state of the art simulator like
iRacing or RFactor Pro. Wait, what about that Chevy Simulator NASCAR teams use? That is
RFactor Pro, a heavily modified version of it. Some thought it was NR2003...
Now, back on the tire model. How should we simulate the 2019 Cup car tires? The tires
have different compounds from 2003. Different grip, different hardness. Efforts have been made
to simulate the 2019 tires in closed development, which have been successful. Cup cars and
Xifinity cars have been nearly on the spot. (Now, if any of you are real NASCAR drivers wanting to
test, please comment.) Except, the truck series needs more testing. Aero mapping for all three
cars, engine data for all three cars, are correct. But trucks, do they run different tires? The
chassis is similar from 2003. One even doubts if they are Gen6 trucks, or Gen 5. Gen 7 is coming
and most likely, trucks will stay the same. In the tire model, many values had to be edited.
Lowering Grip-2 (the connected to surface feel) has been heightened to -0.14. But an issue has
rised, the flipping issue. To compensate for this, the line called "the Michigan Feel" has been
lowered. So now, we got a rubber feeling car that does not flip over like its ride height has been
increased. Fellow New World Physics has tested this, and has proven it right. Howover, for his
NR2018.exe, he has lowered Grip-2 to -0.54! Let's wait for his NR2019.exe if he's making one.
High downforce, low HP. In NR2018.exe, the aero maps are way off. NRE has made test EXEs with
correct aero maps. 1600 lbs in real life is 1600 lbs in simulator, not 1600 lbs in real life is 8000 lbs
in game.

Now, to conclude this issue. The tire model is just lines of different "feels" (for now,
hopefully to become factors) that change the tires of a car. Hopefully, one day, the NR2003
community will have a real life NASCAR sim. But for now, might aswell ask New World Physics for
a NR2019.exe or the IndyCar.EXE. Anyway, NRE has reached out to a real life NASCAR team on
Reddit for car data such as engine and aero, the first physics editing group to do so. Oh, and
BBMC's new ISM Raceway is a state of the art sim track. Meaning, it's 97-99% accurate, meaning,
lap times, realistic EXE's will work. As the saying goes,

"realistic EXEs marry realistic tracks while garbage EXEs marry garbage tracks," - unknown.
