Feed 1 – 2 mm/stroke
The bead quality depends on the feed step.
Note
The thicker the material, the larger this minimum radius gets.
New tool
Tool length The tool length must be entered in data field "Length of forming
tool" in the tool data at the control. It is measured from the top of
the alignment ring to the lowermost point of the punch.
The following lengths are valid for these tools:
TruPunch 1000 / 2020 / Material thickness
3000 / 5000 mm
TruMatic 3000 / 6000 /
s = 1.0 s = 1.5 s = 2.0 s = 2.5 s = 3.0
7000
TC 1000 / 2000 / 2020 / 32.2 31.7 31.2 30.7 30.2

Note
The tool can work from the so-called "Variable forming height
(VU)". The value in millimeters, with the abbreviation "VU=", is
engraved on the tool. On machines that work with the inch system,
the indicated value must be converted into inches. The forming
height must be entered in the "General tool data" at the control.
The parameter for this is called "Variable forming height". On some
machines it is called "Optimized forming height".
Stroke types
The following stroke types can be selected for optimum use of the
tool:
Punch without support position.
TruPunch 5000: The displayed value for the stroke type is 1.
Necessary options
Some tools can only be used with a special machine option e.g.
"Active die".
For this tool, the applicable value is 0 = none.
With this option, a beading tool oscillating at a high stroke rate can
be used to produce a continuous bead from "Quick beading"
height.
The following machines feature "Quick beading":
TruPunch 1000 / 2020 / 3000 / 5000
TruMatic 3000 / 6000 / 7000
TC 1000 / 2000 / 2010 / 2020 / 3000 / 5000 R
TC 3000 / 6000 L
