Isshukan Friends – Great use and development of interesting premise, likeable characters and

believable motives and corresponding actions. Climax and resolution finished story nicely if a bit
contrived, however nothing else is needed. I see no improvements beyond minor personal hopes
10/10 (masterful in filling out and developing premise and characters)

Love is War - Immaculate premise, great development, focused and appealing secondary chars. Just
need to fully develop Shirogane, give a brief spotlight to Hayasaki and conclude to max out its premise
10/10 (so far, has been doing everything right. Just needs to bring it home)

Kimi Ni Todoke – Interesting characters, and great use of the motives and traits to develop
relationships. Suffers slightly from annoying, disruptive comedy, and slightly underdeveloped
secondary characters & relationships. If it was finished and lived up to manga descriptions, could be #1
9/10 (great but a bit slow, and suffers from subpar comedy + unfulfilled secondary chars & stories)

Hinamatsuri - Great premise, funny interactions and heartwarming second girl story. Slight unfocus
and suboptimal development + relatively low use of premise keeps it from the very top. However,
going forward, the sudden 3rd girl time skip plus feeling that many character arcs are finished mean the
future is uncertain and daunting
9/10 (heartwarmingly cute, but 3rd girl + having wrapped out most characters make future uneasy)

Tora Dora - Taiga's premise, story and development great. Male lead poor premise & average
development + 1 bad side char hold it back. Suffers a bit from “make it up as I go along” writing style
meaning many ideas are jittery, feel sudden, and underdeveloped. Rewrite to put full focus on taiga full
past or give male lead better premise, with a clearer path, could make it a classic
9/10 (a few changes could’ve made it really great)

Teasing Master - Really cute and is stellar at what it sets out to do. Only personal tastes of less
captivating premise and uninteresting side-chars keeping it from the top
7/10 (keep up what it is doing, conclude naturally, and it can end up at an 9 or 10)

Kare Kano - Failed to deliver on male character's stellar premise. Too much wasted time and potential.
Secondary characters stories hit or miss. Possibly marvelous from manga descriptions, but anime failed
to deliver with what it was given. If concluded, condensed and rebalanced could have been really
special.
6/10 (disappointment given premise. Conclude, condense, rebalance made it unparalleled)

Tsurezure Children - Cute overall, but large cast means less focused development and some
characters and relationships fall flat. Mostly fine for what it is trying to be, but suffers from its own
premise more than anything. 8+ different relationships mean somethings must suffer in place keeping
up
6/10 (require several seasons to fully develop char and relationships to move it up)

Masamune Revenge - Unfocused story, too many undeveloped characters, poor use and development
of plot points and characters. Rewrite and focusing of motives, plot and character progression needed
4/10 (remove character tangle, make motives have consequence, and story condense and conclude)

Special A - concept, direction and characters looked uninteresting. Bad animation and jokes. Stopped
after episode 3. Serious rethinking needed on premise, character traits and style
2/10 (tear it down, start from scratch. Premise needs remake)
