LEE Colortran E lipso ds are des gned 1o
trame areas, projecl patterns and help you
create spec a effects. They are designed ior
throws ol 14 feet to '140 feel.
The Ellipsoid Systern incorporates a rugged
die cast housing assernb y tor long rel able
service and ease of maintenance. A new high
periormance optica train with pLano-convex
lenses permils greater I ghl lransmlssion,
fewer aberrations, lrnproved field control and
higher efilclency. Lenses are iabr cated oi ow
expans on boros llcale g ass and may be
eas ly field modified to create a 40", 30', or
20o field angle in one unit. Lenses are shock
rnounted n silicone to ellminate possib e
damage. A new joy stick design assures fasl
preclse filamenl alignment without too s. A
new lens bafiel design permits you to easily
focus to a hard or soil fie d edge. A new
fram ng shuiter concept enables you to creale
nearly any three or four sided shape; this
unique capability solves virtually everV
keystoning problem. Each shutter travels in its
own plane elim nating interlerence prob ems.
Every unit is equipped wlth a buill-in pattern
slot and is available with an opt onai iris
withoul the loss of other beam'shaplng
capabi ities. All LEF Colortran Elllpsoids are
IJL-listed for 1000 watts

Unique by design:
A. The Joy Stick Lamp Alignment. . . Lamp
may be qLrlckly cenlered and posilioned for a
peak or l al fie d condition wilhout the use of
any tools. Permils flat field adjustment for
pattern projectlon or peak tield adjustrnent for
acling area blending. The operation is safe,
cool and requlres only seconds.
B. Larnp housing may be completely removed
for easy lamp replacement. Symmelrical
houslng may be reinstalled in any posilion.
C. The lens barre design features a un que
patented lens syslem which permils the use of
variab e locations ol the same lenses 10 create
different f eld angles; e.g. the lenses used in
the 30o model may be repositioned to work as
either a 40o or 20" mode .
O. Framing shulters are iabricated of heavy
gauge sta nless steel and wi not burn, warp
or deteriorale. Each shutter will rotate through
a 60" arc creatlng 120" total angu ation
belween adjacenl blades, thereby ellminaling
virtually every keystone problem. Expanded
oplical depth oi field permits location of each
shLlle. n irs own plare e'iT rat ng ja_1'n ng
and furlher increas ng potent al for unusua
and extreme profile projeclion. Shutters are
equipped with thermally nsu ated fingerhole
handles. No more burned or cut fingers.
E. Yoke hardware includes a new ocking
clutch for tlll control. This a lows precision
locking in any posiiion without drifting,
ratcheting or ireezing. The LEE Colortran
Ellipsoids also feature a T-bolt on the Gc amp
which permits pan adjLrstment without the use
