UNDERGRADUATE, POSTGRADUATE AND PH.D. PROGRAMMES


The result of CUCET-2019 will be announced on 21st June, 2019 on the CUCET-2019
website <www.cucetexam.in>. Candidates who opted for Central University of South Bihar (CUSB),
appeared in the entrance examination on 25.05.2019 / 26.05.2019 and are desirous to take admission
in CUSB are hereby informed that –
i. The schedule of dates for UG/PG admission and other related instructions is enclosed as
“Annexure-I”. The cut off marks (category wise) drawn on the basis of CUCET score
and procedure for online registration before reporting for admission (in person only) will
be announced on 25.06.2019 (5:00 PM) on the university website <www.cusb.ac.in>.

The merit list will be drawn on the basis of CUCET-2019 score obtained by the candidate
who will report for admission (in person only) on the scheduled dates for respective
programmes.

ii. The schedule of dates for Ph.D. admission and other related instructions is enclosed as
“Annexure-II”. The list of candidates shortlisted (category wise) for interview / viva-
voce based on the CUCET score or the NET-JRF/NET-LS/GATE/SLET candidates (who
were exempted from appearing in the CUCET exam) and procedure for online registration
before reporting for viva-voce / interview (in person only) will be announced on
27.06.2019 (5:00 PM) on the university website.

Admissions in different Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes offered by Central

4. The cut-off marks of each programme will be uploaded on the university website after
declaration of results on 25.06.2019.
5. Classes of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes will commence from 10th July, 2019.
6. All candidates are advised to check their eligibility for respective programmes as notified by
CUSB in CUCET – 2019 before appearing for counselling/admission.
7. Admission against seats falling vacant due to cancellation of admission at a later date or
otherwise, shall be made subsequently either from the list of waitlist candidates (if available)
or from the second cut off list to be announced later on university website.
8. However all admissions to UG/PG programmes will be closed on 31.07.2019.
9. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the website for further updates.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Merely obtaining the declared cut off marks or bringing of Demand Draft does not guarantee
admission. Admission shall be strictly on the basis of merit list (which will be drawn based on the score of
students who have reported till 11:00 AM sharp) and submission and verification of valid documents. The
candidates falling in wait list shall only be considered for admission if seats remain vacant. Candidates who
fail to report for admission along with all the original documents on scheduled date and time shall forfeit their
claim to be considered for admission. Based on the merit of students in the waiting list, they will be contacted
for admission directly if any seat falls vacant in a particular category.

In case of tie, the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations shall be the deciding factor and
if, that is also same or result of both candidate is not declared then the senior candidate on basis of Date of
Birth shall be given preference. In case of any dispute the decision of the Chairman, UATEC shall be final.

The University will declare the merit list after taking into consideration the guidelines of Govt. of
India for reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/Divyang/Widow or wards of Defence Personnel.
Documents required for Admission

The candidates are required to be present in person and bring the following documents in original as
well as a set of photocopy duly attested at the time of reporting for admission:-
1) Original copy of the Hall Ticket / Admit Card

2) CUCET -2019 score card.


3) Ten copies of recent passport size photographs

4) In case CUCET Admit card is misplaced, they should bring along a copy of FIR filed along with an
Identity proof.
5) Self-attested copies of marks sheet(s) and degrees of 10th, 12th, Graduation & Post graduation or an
equivalent examination certificate, showing the age/date of birth of the candidate. The candidates are
also required to produce all originals of the above certificates /document for verification at the time of
registration/admission. In the absence of any of the original certificates /documents,
registration/admission shall not be allowed. The original Migration, Transfer and Fitness/Medical
Certificate of the candidate will be retained by the University.

8) A Character certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.

9) Fitness/Medical certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner

10) Transfer/Migration Certificate (in original) from the Head of the Institution/University last attended:

a. All those candidates who have passed their qualifying examination prior to 2019 must produce the
Migration Certificate from the University from where they have passed their qualifying examination at
the time of admission/registration failing which they will not be granted admission.

b. Candidates, who have passed their qualifying examination in 2019 and are not in a position to
submit the Migration Certificate at the time of admission, should submit the same as early as
possible, but not later than 30th September 2019 failing which the University reserves the right
to cancel their admission.

Such students should submit a notarized affidavit/undertaking on Non Judicial Stamp paper of
`100/- mentioning their condition stating that the University reserves the right to cancel their
admission after 30th September, 2019 in case they fail to submit the mandatory Certificates /
Mark sheets / Documents (copy of format enclosed).

11) The Gap Certificate in the form of affidavit on `10/- stamp paper stating the reason should be
submitted at the time of admission by those students who have gap between their two degrees.

12) For SC/ST Candidates : Attested copy of SC/ST Certificate in the prescribed format of Govt. of
India / State Govt. issued by an officer not below the rank of Magistrate /Tehsildar in support of their
claim for admission against the reserved quota.
13) OBC Candidates: OBC Certificate issued by District Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner in the
Government of India prescribed format. Also, bring along income certificate.
14) For PWD/Divyang Candidates : Medical Certificate issued by the Competent Medical Authority
indicating the nature and extent (including percentage) of Physical Disability in support of their claim
for admission against reserved quota.
15) For Widows/Wards of Defence Personnel : documents in support against the criteria applicable are
required.
16) The admission of candidate who has passed his/her qualifying examination from a Foreign University will be
subject to his/her qualification being found equivalent to the qualifications prescribed by the University.
17) The candidates enjoying employed status and selected for admission to any programme of study in the
University, are required to produce LEAVE SANCTION /RELIEVING ORDER AT THE TIME
OF ADMISSION/REGISTRATION from their employer for the duration of the programme
permitting them to pursue their studies at the University, failing which the offer of admission shall
stand withdrawn. In case of any dispute the decision of the admission committee shall be final.
18) The admission of any candidate is liable to be cancelled without giving any further notice forthwith or
at any time during the period of the concerned Course of Study, if it is found that the candidate has
/had produced fake / forged certificate(s) /document(s), indulged in any act of misconduct/indiscipline
and has /had concealed any other relevant information at the time of seeking admission.
19) The admission of the candidate to the concerned programme of Study shall be subject to such
ordinances, rules and regulations as may be framed from time to time by the University.
20) Only the High Court of Patna shall have jurisdiction in case of any dispute relating to the provisional
admission.

Mode of Payment of Fees

The candidates shall be required to pay the fees in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour
of "Central University of South Bihar" payable at Panchanpur, Gaya at the time of admission. Admission
shall be granted only on payment of fees on the specified date for each program.
The Fee Structure of the programmes offered by the University is given below. Candidates who
fail to make payment on the date of admission shall not be considered for admission and the seat will be given
to the next candidate in the merit list.

PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED BEFORE REPORTING FOR COUNSELLING / ADMISSION

The cut off marks (category wise) drawn on the basis of CUCET score and detailed procedure for
online registration before reporting for admission (in person only) will be announced on 25.06.2019
(5:00 PM) on the university website.
The merit list will be drawn on the basis of CUCET-2019 score obtained by the candidate who will
report for admission (in person only) on the scheduled dates for respective programmes.

The candidate will be required to complete the online process, take printouts of the Forms
and bring it alongwith the documents/ certificates as detailed above.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Candidates who have qualified in a National Level Test such as National Eligibility Test
(NET – JRF), NET-LS (without fellowship), Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), State
Level Eligibility Test (SLET) accredited by UGC/Central or State Government and were exempted
from appearing in CUCET-2019 Entrance Test, as per provisions of our Ordinance, are being
directly called for Interview / Viva - Voce.
2. All candidates, who have not qualified any of the above Tests, and have appeared in the
CUCET – 2019 Entrance Test will be called for the Interview / Viva – Voce based on the cut – off
marks obtained in the CUCET – 2019 Entrance Test.
3. The University reserves the right to increase / decrease the intake of students.
Documents required for Admission

1. All the shortlisted candidates are required to bring with them Five Copies (05) of a write up
on any topic/area of research of their choice with introduction, objective, research
methodology and relevance of the subject in 1000 words (approx.).

2. All candidates will have to make a presentation on the topic/area or research submitted by
them at the time of interview.

3. The candidates have to produce their original mark- sheets, certificates, UGC-NET certificate
(in case of NET qualified candidates) and other testimonials in support of their candidature at
the time of interview. Please bring along one set of self - attested copies of all certificate.

4. The candidates under reserved category, i.e. OBC (Non Creamy Layer), SC, ST and Divyang
shall produce the certificate in the prescribed format issued by a competent authority in
support of their claim without which their claim will not be considered.

5. Any candidate failing to appear in the interview shall not be considered for admission. No
TA/DA is admissible for appearing in the interview.

6. Original copy of the Hall Ticket / Admit Card.

7. CUCET -2019 score card.

8. In case CUCET Admit card is misplaced, they should bring along a copy of FIR filed along
