Gable, Pastor STAFF Beverly Carpenter, Secretary Mike Oliver, Music Director Lisa Gammon, Custodian Mission Statement “Make Christ’s Love Known in the World by Serving the Community, Sharing and Teaching God’s Word, and Supporting the Church at Large.” FROM Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ, THE PASTOR On July 1, 2019, 1 celebrated my fifteenth year of ordination. As i look back over the years, I am thankful for every person that helped in my formation as a pastor. I thank God for the opportunity to serve the Church and for the gift of the Holy Spirit through Christ. Over the years I have experienced many situations that have been challena- ing, joyful, sorrowful, strenuous, spiritual and renewing, The ride has been a seriés of waves and Iam sure there will be many more to come. But I have also experienced the joy of serving God's people. We laugh, cry, celebrate, and experience some of the best and worst of times through our journey of faith. But I could never imagine it any other way because through it all we grow into a deeper faith as a community. So, I reflect on the importance of the memories we make together. I also realize that in order for all of us to continue to grow in Christ, we must walk away from our past which are now “just memories” and look forward to making new ones. If we don’t, then we will get stuck in the past and not be able to become the people that Christ has called us to be through baptism. Faith is about trusting Christ when we cannot see, know, or experience where we are going or how we are going to get there. We just need to trust and believe in our Lord with faith! Christ promises us, *..Remember, I will be with you until the end of the age." (Matthew 28:20). Therefore we are not, walking alone but together with Christ! 1 ask you in our continued time together that we dedicate ourselves spiritually to be people with the mind of Christ. As St. Paul states, "Let the same mind be in you that was- in Christ Jesus.”.. (Philippians 2:5). When we have the mind of Christ we no longer belong to ourselves or the temporal earthly world we live but we become people of God with the mind of Christ living by the Holy Spirit with the kingdom in our midst. St. Paul also writes, "So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything’ has become new!” (2 Corinthians 5:17) Let us continue to be renewed in our Lord, Yours in the Lord's service, Paotor Leb Pastor Deb PRAYER CONCERAS Anna Archer, Palin Barnes, Denise Bell, Chay Blackwel Pt Cas, Dan Cone, Eertnet, Lai och, Karen Garvin Teri wit, usin Fly twin Holloway, Neney ,, Nova Keenan, Joanne Mahike, Mary Lou Mauck, Selma Chatles Montes, Naney Moot, Jerome Prva, Lisa Polen, Terry Paes, Dennis Roig, Diane Rati, Docthy Tavis and Cif Wilson Holloway, Bill Hughes, Lisa Jenki MILITARY...Stephen Jewell, Darren Hoffman, Tim Kosky, Danny Welker, and all those who serve in our military.
