INTRODUCTION:

Motivation of employees is the process of motive an employee that causes a person to act. It
is a process or act of providing motive that reflects on an employee to take some action. In
several cases motivation comes from a need that leads to a type of behavior results in type of
reward when need if fulfilled .Basically performances of employees rests on ability,
motivation and support received by an individual. Motivation need not be forced by the
fellow superiors it can be a desire within a person causing that person to act. Basically people
act for one reason i.e. to reach a goal. So, motivation can be referred as goal directed drive
also. The proper understanding and utilizing of motivational
practices are important because performance, reaction to compensation
and related HR concerns are strictly depends and related upon motivation.

Motivation has two factors that is to stimulate desire and energy in the people to seek
commitment towards job, continually interested in the job and to exhibit persistent effort in
attaining a goal in the respective field. The two factors namely internal and external factors.
Internal factors are developed urge and drives by the own individuals towards the job within
themselves whereas, External factors are the drive forced or reminded by others regarding the
goals, roles, achievements and responsibilities of the job to employees by employers.
Motivation also returns from the interactions among conscious and unconscious factors.
Motivation is also a psychological process to behave in purposive manner to achieve specific
needs. Mostly this psychological process happens in organization to relieve the employees
from stress and to reach the optimum goals.

EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION:

Motivation actually defines as a process that starts with psychological need that activates
behaviour or drive that aims at reaching of desired goals.

Every employee will have a desire to show good quality in productivity from them side to
side the manager for the higher incentives. But sometimes the behaviour of employees varies

Due to situational factors .If the situation is according to the employees then they reacts
positively and hence tend to self-motivate. If the situations are against the employees then
they tend to react negatively hence, this is the situation motivation for the employees
required.

1.3 NEED FOR THE STUDY:

To have good understanding between the employees and the employer so that the employees
are motivated and employees increases their productively, when the employees are self
ambitious and increase their performance. Therefore the employees are ethical towards their
organization. Motivation only does to increase the level of confidence of an employee in the
workforce.
“It provides the drive for people to accomplish their goals and maintain their responsibilities
or solve problems.” Motivated workforce means a highly productive staff, all of which will
help you achieve your business goals. To know the employee retention process of
organization and build the willingness in employees to work.

1.4 OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:

1. To study the different motivation strategy given to employee at ALPHA


COMMODITY PVT LTD.

2. To study the factor responsible for motivation of employees.

3. To study motivation factor which help employee satisfy at their work place.

4. To study different working condition which motivate the employee.

5. To find out the techniques adopted by ALPHA COMMODITY PVT LTD to motivate
employees.

6. To determine the level of workers satisfaction at ALPHA COMMODITY INDIA


PVT LTD.

1.5 SCOPE OF THE STUDY:

In this research study, I have in countered that it is essential for the employee motivation
in the ALPHA COMMODITY PVT LTD. The employees are adopting the corrective
measures and applying their level of experience which executes their motivation within
the workforce. In this scenario the employees work efficiently because they are motivated

internally and externally which will leads to the organizational growth and the motivation
factor is identified of the employees in the organization.

1.6 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

Sampling design
A sample design is a finite plan for obtaining a sample from a given population. Conventional
sampling is used for this study.
Sample size
Number of the sampling units selected from the population is called the size of the sample.
Sample of 100 respondents were obtained from the population.

Sampling procedure
The procedure adopted in the present study in Conventional sampling.

Methods of data collection:


The data’s were collected through primary and secondary sources.

Primary sources:
Primary data are in the form of “raw material” to which statistical methods are applied for the
purpose of analysis and interpretations.
Sources of primary data
Discussion with employees.
Data’s collected through questionnaire.

Secondary sources:
Secondary data’s are in the form of finished products as they have already been treated
statistically in some form or other.

1.7 LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY:


 The research was carried only on the employees of ALPHA COMMODITY PVT
LTD, which aids the sample size was limited due to time constraint.
 The information provided by the company is shortened.
 The lack of availability of relevant information is a major problem, most of the
relevant data are cumbersome, ambiguous and incomplete. Complete a clear
information is not available for preparing report perfectly.
 The information provided by the employees is biased.
 The selection of the sample size, superintendence of the questionnaires implies to
introduce sampling error.
 Employees did not reach the expectation to the questionnaire.
