BADMINTON TOURNAMENT

Tournament Rules
• The tournament will commence by mid-September 2018. The deadline for submission of
entries is 6.00 p.m. on 10th September2018. Forms to be submitted to ISC office Darsait.
• Entry open to all Indian (who has valid resident card) and Omani nationals.
• Fee RO. 5/- for individual event and RO 10/- for doubles event for non-members. RO 4/- for individual
event and RO. 8/- for doubles event for members of ISC (Parent body and Wings).
• Children below 12 years are not eligible to enter in Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles
• Matches will be played from 7 pm to 11pm during week days. Matches will also be played on holidays
and weekends which will be intimated during the course of the tournament.
• A participant is permitted to enter in a maximum of two (2) singles events.
• An event will be held only if 8 (eight) or more entries are received.
• Participants will be asked to play 3 to 4 matches on the same day, if necessary.
• Matches will be played at the scheduled time and won’t be amended or postponed under any
circumstances. Walkover will be awarded to the opponent if not reported on time.
• All applicants must provide their Whatsapp number and notification about the tournaments will ONLY be
made through Whatsapp group.
• Entries for the Veterans, boys, girls & Junior events should be accompanied with a photocopy of the
passport page showing the date of birth.
• Semifinals and Finals will be played as per the new "Rally Point Scoring System adopted by the IBF for
Men’s category. Scoring system of preliminary rounds and other categories will be advised by the
organizing committee before start of the match.
• The Organizing Committee / Consultant reserves the right to amend or reschedule the matches if the need
arises. The affected participants will be intimated accordingly.
• The organizing committee/ Consultant reserves the right to take any decisions which are appropriate to
conduct the tournament smoothly.
• The judgment of Umpires and Line Judges are final and will not be revoked under any circumstances.
