CHIEFS EMERGE VICTORIOUS IN CONFLICTS 2019

The AUSL delegation in the 2019 Conflicts of Law exerted its might to snag top finishes across all the
competitions.
This year’s co-hosts were bannered by the men’s volleyball team, usurping DLSU in straight sets to be
declared as champions. The women’s squad suffered a 5-set loss in a heartbreaking fashion against
San Beda University to settle for the silver finish.
Over at the hard court, the women’s quintet fought tooth and nail before bowing down to eventual
champions SBU to salvage a second place trophy. The men’s division on the other hand, failed to
advance in the finals after losing to SBU in the semifinals tiff.
Improving one slot over their 3rd place finish last year, the swimming team barged in to secure a 2nd
place podium finish behind Ateneo de Manila University. Anchored by gold finishes in relay while
steady performances in the individual events solidified the team’s remarkable outing.
The table tennis team also provided a podium finish for AUSL as they grabbed the 3rd place overall.
Following suit was the quiz bee team which ranked third among the participating schools, while in the
debate arena, Arellano’s Ian Resentes was heralded as the 6th best adjudicator.
