Sales Associate: Crash Baggage

Your First Day

Today, you are officially a part of SERIAL Team. Congratulations, and welcome.

We, at SERIAL, have a unique way of doing things that will make this an enjoyable
and rewarding professional experience of your life, but it can take some getting used
to. This handbook will help you understand how we work, live and have fun together
at SERIAL. You can find a lot of important details such as compensation, benefits
and what to wear at work.

We do business around the world under the brand SERIAL. Here in Indonesia our
company is registered as PT Serial Cipta Berdikari. In this handbook, PT Serial Cipta
Berdikari will be referred to as SERIAL or The Company.

Your Everyday SERIAL Life

At SERIAL, teams and working together are at the center of what we do: in the way
we communicate, show each other respect and always search for better ways to
delight our customers. At SERIAL you’ll see that we have daily short casual meetings
to share ideas and updates. This keeps the communications and ideas flowing.
Everyone at SERIAL from the top down sits in our open office and is available to chat
with, ask questions of or share ideas with at any time. Don’t be shy—everyone has a
part to play.

Working Hours

The general work hours may vary by department. The regular office hours at SERIAL
are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive (excluding holidays), with core
operational hours being 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During core operational hours, it is
expected that employees will be available. All employees are expected to work 7.5
hours per day, exclusive lunch break of at least forty-five (45) minutes. Employees
may also be expected to work extra hours at times when something big is due.

Employees are required to notify their supervisor, in advance, of planned days away
from the office. Unplanned absences from the office should be reported to the
employee’s supervisor as soon as could reasonably expected. At the discretion of
the Executive Director, depending on circumstances, employees may be allowed to
work from home for specific periods of time.
As an employee in the retail/pop-up stores, you will be assigned to a designated
shift. Your schedule may vary from week to week. The Retail Merchandiser will notify
your schedule, which may be subject to change due to various needs as they arise.

Missed work includes tardiness and partial day absences. Employees who have
established a pattern of excessive absenteeism and/or tardiness may be subject to
disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Retail Store Policies

 Be punctual
 Be responsible and honest of your work
 Be mindful and take good care of your work area
 No food allowed in and around the retail premises
 No cellphones during working hours

Personal Appearance & Dress Code Policy

The dress code policy is intended to establish clear guidelines and expectations for
the personal employees while at work in order to convey a positive and professional
image to our customers, vendors and general public. Due to the nature of our
business, different areas of the company may allow various types of dress depending
on the type of work performed. Employees are expected to maintain a neat, clean,
workplace appropriate and well-groomed appearance while at work.

Smart casual is the dress code for employees. Business casual is the dress code
when attending a meeting or store visits.

The following types of dress are not appropriate:


 Flip flops, beach type sandals.
 Shorts and skorts.

Standard attire for Sales Associates (Crash Baggage) will be provided and this
includes:
 Black Long sleeve T-shirt.
 Black Chino pants. Pants should fit at the waist and not be low riders.
 Crash Baggage pin button.
 Visible body piercings are not allowed (other than on the ear).
 Black canvas shoes. No open-toe or open-heel shoes
 Hair, including facial hair must be neatly groomed and must be of natural
color. Examples of unnatural colors are blue, pink or green hair. Unnatural
colors are not allowed.

If you have any questions about the interpretation of this policy, please speak with
Human Resources. Managers will be responsible for ensuring compliance of this
policy within their teams.

NOTE: Religious and/or disability related exceptions may be permitted depending on


the circumstances and/or otherwise as necessary to comply with applicable law.

Compensation & Bonus


The salary we’ve agreed with you is outlined in your employment agreement and
should be regarded as confidential. You should not disclose your salary or wages to
anyone within The Company other than your immediate manager. Full details of the
breakdown of your salary or wage payment will be shown on your payslip which will
be given to you on, or just after payday.

As an employee in the retail/pop-up stores, you and your team will be assigned a
collective sales target each month. Achieving this specified target will earn you a
bonus of 1% of the total sales.
