1.1 COMPANY BACKGROUND

1.1.1 Introduction

St. Tomas Manpower Services Corporation has been in this business for almost 10

strong years and growing. It is one of the premier leaders in manpower services

providers in local and regional. We take pride and passion to provide professional

manpower or job placement that exceeds our client’s expectations and needs with an

emphasis on value, integrity and professionalism.

In the beginning of this year 2014, our company reached significant milestones in

becoming incorporated to ST. TOMAS MANPOWER SERVICES CORPORATION

since we first began operating under the name BARAKO JOB PLACEMENT AGENCY

for nearly a decade. This evolvement serves as a testament to our significant growth

in our business activities and operations that have expanded in nature and services

well beyond where we began.

1.2 INDUSTRY ANALYSIS

1.2.1 Employment

2015 Annual Survey of the Philippine Business Industry (ASPBI) and manpower

services; present the distribution of employment for the sector. The sector provided

employment to 952,862 workers in 2015, and almost all of which were paid employees

(99.9%) that constituted to 951,880 workers.

Among industry sub-class, customer relationship management activities

generated the largest number of employees with 390,799 workers (41.0%) Labor

recruitment and provision of personnel or local followed with 202,184 workers (21.6%).

Ranked third was the private security activities with 106,896 workers (11.2%).

Total compensation paid by administrative and support service activities sector

amounted to PHP256.2 billion, translating to an average annual compensation of

PHP269.2 thousand per paid employee.
