CONCEPT
The 2019 Manila International Piano Masterclasses Festival (MIPMF) is the second edition of the
highly successful maiden launch last year, due to public demand. The MIPMF is a 9-day intimate yet
intensive music camp held in the City of Makati, centrally located in the heart of Metro Manila, the
capital of the Philippines. It is the first Classical Music festival in the country set in a 19th Century
salon style environment. The MIPMF welcomes pianists of all nationalities, intermediate-level & above,
but limited to only Twenty-Four (24) slots. Salon Recitals, Masterclasses, Performance Revues, and
One-On-One Lessons with a limited audience, will be conducted by an eminent Artists-Faculty of
concert pianists & pedagogues. The MIPMF Final Concerts will feature all the participating Delegates
in two solo concerts. There will be a sight-seeing excursion as well.

VENUES
The One-On-One Lessons, Masterclasses, Performance Revues, and the Artist-Faculty Salon Recitals
will be held at residences of prominent figures of the Diplomat Corps. Ultimately, venues will be
announced at the Orientation on August 3 to be held at the MIPMF Artists-Faculty Official Residence
to be determined later. Groups of four Ebony Package Delegates will be staying at the residences of
Host Families who have pianos for practice purposes and are fully staffed for their daily needs. There
will be two MIPMF Final Concerts on August 11: the Matinée will be held at the MIPMF Artists-
Faculty Official Residence, while the Soirée will be held at the Manila Pianos Showroom.
