Ida student arrested for intent to distribute marijuana
By Laura Paine/Staff Writer Wicked Local Newton Posted Oct 27, 2010 @ 01:31 PM Newton — A Mount Ida College student from Roslindale was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute after a campus security officer confiscated 21 bags of weed. Michael Carey, 19, of 14 Haydn St. #2, Roslindale, was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute a Class D substance on Oct. 25. Police responded to Mt. Ida, 777 Dedham St., where the campus security shift commander reported that he had confiscated several items from Carey, including different sized plastic baggies; 21 separate bags of marijuana; a pot pipe; a broken pot pipe; a marijuana cigarette and an unspecified amount of cash.
