Classroom Instruction Delivery Alignment Map – WIW Map

Grade: 11 & 12 emester: 2nd Semester

Core Subject Title: Statistics and Probability No. of Hours/Semester: 80 hours/semester
Prerequisites (If needed): None
Core Subject Description: At the end of the course, the students must know how to find the mean and variance of a random variable, to apply sampling techniques and distributions, to
estimate population mean and proportion, to perform hypothesis testing on population mean and proportion, and to perform correlation and regression analyses on real-life problems.

Culminating Performance Standard: The learner is able to accurately formulate and solve real – life problems in different disciplines involving normal distribution.

Power Standard: The learner is able to perform appropriate statistical tests to make sound inferences in real-life problems in the different disciplines.

Performance Task:
Every month of July, the school is celebrating Nutrition Month. In line with this, the Grade 11 students are task to conduct a survey on student’s body mass index (BMI) with a sample size of 50
randomly pick at all levels. Data to be gathered will be interpreted through the statistical computation of the BMI. The said data will be used to determine the percentage of health status of the
students. During the culmination of nutrition month, the statistical report with graphical representation will be presented to the members of the PTA and barangay health workers to help address
the issues under malnourish and obese cases. Students will be evaluated based on the accuracy of the data – 50%, timeliness – 10%, quality of work – 30% and creativity during presentation –
10%.

Literal Transfer Task:

People nowadays are dependent on power consumption because of the different technologies that gives convenience to everyday task. Both urban and rural places are experiencing power
interruptions. Because of this existing problem, the Grade 11 students are task to act as an Electricity Consumption Analyst. They will conduct a survey in a certain barangay here in Davao City
on household power consumption in a certain month with a sample size of 25. The interpretation of the statistical report will be presented to the selected barangay officials to give implications to
every household of the barangay. Students will be evaluated based on the following:

Accuracy of the Data – 30%

Quality of Work - 30%
Articulation of the result - 40%

Literal Transfer:
The learner is able to appreciate the implication of normality and normal distribution into day – to – day basis.
