1. About Imagine to Innovate
Imagine to Innovate are a team of aspiring engineers from
different companies which has been instrumental in promoting
motor sports events and ushering a new era of engineers, where
they will know, what practicality in technical world stands for.
The Imagine to Innovate will act as a launch-pad to accord the
seamless endurance of engineers and their prolific inputs. We will
craft a world, where knowledge and wisdom in engineering
domain will lead to imagination and innovation.

2. About Asia E-bike challenge (AEBC)
This competition is an eco-friendly venture based upon
Engineering design and manufacturing of Electric bike
completely by the students. The main aim of the event is to
generate the interest of the student in the field of eco-bikes and to
bring a new revolution in the field of biking which can be
commercialized as a usable product for the future generation.
Beside the comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and
fabricating a single seated DC motor driven vehicle to manoeuvre
on all types of terrains the E-bike Racing Challenge has a chance
for participants to win cash prize up to 3.0 Lakhs and Trophies.
This will help them face real-world engineering design projects
and other related challenges. Our focus to develop interest among
the engineering student towards alternative power sources, those
which are the future of Automobiles. This can enhance their
practical skills as well as learn team management, so our
engineering student will avail to face any hurdles in the way of
real engineering.
The Purpose of all historic motorcycle racing is to provide an
appropriate environment for, and to show case competition
among, classic and certain special interest clubman and grand
prix racing motorcycles.
Our main aim is to look over the eco-friendly automobiles
vehicles which will be the need of the future generation.
VISION
Asian E-Bike Racing Challenge hosted by Imagine to
Innovate seeks to promote and celebrate educational
excellence and engineering creativity. Fueled by the spirit of
friendly competition and teamwork.
3
Asian E-Bike Racing Challenge is the creative integration of
technical and scientific expertise across a range of exciting
disciplines.
MISSION:
The support and encouragement of bright young minds to
succeed in the fields of engineering, the sciences,
mathematics, business, in multi-disciplined experiential
learning and in subsequent careers.
The creation of public awareness and enthusiasm, both for
educational excellence and engineering creativity itself, and
for the technologies and practices that emerge from that
excellence.

event. Violation by anyone of the participating member or team
may be liable to be penalized severely, inclusive of and up to
debarring of the team from the competition at any stage or
withdrawal of award/awards, as well. Ambiguities or questions
concerning the meaning or intend of these rules will be resolved
by I2I organizing committee during competition onsite.
3.4. Loopholes
It is virtually impossible for a set of rules to be so comprehensive
that it covers all possible questions about the vehicle’s design
parameters or the conduct of the competition. Please keep in
mind that the safety remains of paramount importance during
6
I2I, so any perceived loopholes should have resolved in the
direction of increased safety/concept of the competition.
7
3.7. Violations of Intent
The violations of intent of a rule will be considered a violation of
the rule itself. Questions about the intent or meaning of a rule
may be addressed to the organizers.

8. STATIC EVENTS
A) Design
1) Objective and Overview:
The objective of this Design event is to evaluate the engineering
efforts that went into the design of the E-Bike and how the
engineering meets the intent of the market. Students will be
judged on the creation of design specifications and the ability to
meet those specifications, computer aided drafting, analysis,
testing and development, manufacturability, serviceability,
system integration and how the vehicle works together as a whole.
Final Design reports submitted will be cross checked and any
deviation from the data given in report will lead to point
deduction.

of laptops, posters, notebooks and binders are allowed.
C) Cost Report:
35
1) Presentation Objective:
36
Following the presentation there will be an approximately
five (5) minute question period.
Only the judges are permitted to ask questions. Any team
member on the presentation floor/stage may answer the
questions even if that member did not speak during the
presentation itself.
Build Quality:
The design judges will evaluate the engineering effort based on
the team’s design report and responses to questions and
inspection of the Bike.
9. DYNAMIC EVENTS
In the Dynamic Events there will be some Qualifying rounds. The
teams that had cleared the Qualifying rounds will be allowed into
the Other Rounds.
Rulebook Inspection
Safety Inspection
Electrical Inspection
1) Rulebook Inspection:
In this the Technical Inspector will check whether the vehicle was
manufactured by following the Rules and Regulations in the
Rulebook or not. Any deviation from rulebook may lead to the
point Reduction.
2) Safety Inspection:
3) Electrical Inspection:
38
Batteries must be mounted with sound engineering practice
and not come loose during any part of event. Battery
terminals must be insulated by using rubber (bicycle tube
etc.). Failing this, the technical inspectors may debar the
team from the dynamic events.
Battery pack should be mounted/ connected in such a way,
that it can be removed/ disconnected. Use of mechanical
fixings such as nut bolts to hold the batteries are
recommended.
Battery terminals should be tight and should not generate a
spark during the race.
The vehicle must not have chances of electrical shock. Loose
connections and UN insulated electrical parts should not be
there.
39
accordance with the rules, or (4) do not represent a serious effort
at pre-inspection will be denied inspection at that time and sent
back to the end of the inspection line.
40
**Rules can be changed atany time of the event based on the
suitation (distance for acceleration or braking) might be
changed if required.
B) Rain Test:
C) Weight Test:
41
Each team gets two attempts with same or different drivers.
Best out of two attempt score will be taken into
consideration. Timings will be checked out using electronic
system or stop watches.
Track Details will be given at the time of event.
E) Terrain Test:
F) Innovation Test:
After autocross event, judges will visit into the pit area where all
the innovations done in the vehicle will be tested.
The parameters on which the Judging will be done are as Follows:
Cost vs Utility
Eco-Friendly
Working of Innovation
Future Scope
Real world Application
The innovation must be properly fitted in the vehicle during the
entire Event.
G) Endurance Test: Overview:
42
The track provided will be 2kms** and the teams have to
run their vehicle for 2 hours.**The vehicle that covers the
max. Distance will be considered as the winner of Endurance
Round.
Rules of Endurance:
The vehicle will not be allowed into the Pit arena once it
entered the Race Track. Changing of Batteries or charging
of Batteries after entering into Endurance is strictly
restricted.
If a vehicle hits other’s vehicle then the team that hit the E-
Bike will be disqualified. Overcrossing in the no-
overcrossing zones lead to penalty.
If any vehicle stops on the track they can take their E-Bike
to a side of track and can repair there only under the
observation of a volunteer. The Endurance Event is designed
to evaluate the overall performance of the vehicle and to test
the vehicle's reliability. Any top speed.
Flags:
S.No Colour Command

warning from an official. A second violation will result in
expulsion of the team from the competition. Failure of a team
member to follow an instruction or command directed specifically
to that team or team member will result in a twenty-five (25)
point penalty.
