ABSTRACT
This study focuses on determining the potential ability of Niog niogan (Ficus
pseudopalma Blanco) tea leaves as an aid for the treatment of urinary tract infection (UTI) .
This aims to test if Niog-niogan (Ficus pseudopalma Blanco) tea leaves can be an aid for the
treatment of UTI.

In making the Niog niogan (Ficus pseudopalma Blanco) tea leaves, leaves were
gathered by the researcher and later on underwent the process of making tea . It was then
packed with 10 ml per tea bags and out of twenty (20) leaves; sixty (60) tea bags were
produced that was sealed in six (6) zip locks containing ten (10) tea bags each .

Based from the urinalysis, Sample A before contains 10 - 15 White Blood Cells or
Pus Cells while sample B before has 30 - 50 WBC. After the consumption of Niog-niogan
tea, it decreased its count, Sample A reduced into 5-8 WBC while Sample B had 0-2 WBC.
When the tea leaves were properly stored, the shelf life of packaged tea is usually 2 years.

Niog-niogan (Ficus pseudopalma Blanco) tea leaves were proven to lower leukocytes
in human urine, thus, is an aid for the treatment for urinary tract infection.

ABSTRACT
This study focuses on determining the potential ability of Niog-niogan tea leaves as
an aid for the treatment of urinary tract infection (UTI) . This aims to test if Niog-niogan
tea can be an aid for curing UTI.

In making the Niog-niogan tea , leaves were gathered and later on underwent the
process of tea-making . It was then packed with 10 ml per tea bags and out of twenty (20)
leaves; sixty (60) tea bags were produced that was sealed in six (6) zip locks containing ten
(10) tea bags each . Before the testing period, urine sample was gathered from the human
participants that were both diagnosed with UTI for comparison. Two set ups were devised;
patient A who will intake Niog niogan tea leaves only while patient B will do the same yet
accompanied by prescribed antibiotics. Participants submitted their urine sample for
urinalysis before they begin to intake the tea. After five (5) days, they again underwent
urinalysis for the comparison of results.

Based from the urinalysis, Sample A before contains 10 - 15 White Blood Cells while
Sample B before has 30 - 50 WBC. After the consumption of Niog-niogan tea, it decreased
its count, Sample A reduced into 5-8 WBC while Sample B have 0-2 WBC. Shelf life of 2
years will be achieved if stored properly.

Niog-niogan (Ficus pseudopalma Blanco) tea leaves were proven to lower leukocytes
in human urine, thus, is an aid for the treatment for urinary tract infection.
