NEWS IN PICTURE

Read the newspaper regularly during your holidays. You may utilize the
noon time for this activity. Cut six pictures from old newspapers .Paste
them in your log file and give a suitable caption to each picture. On the
ruled page of your write a paragraph on the topic- Pleasure of
Reading.

WARM UP SESSION WITH ALLITERATIONS

Create an ALLITERATION POSTER in your log file. Give six examples


of alliterated objects, write six alliterated sentences and write an
alliteration poem. You can illustrate your poster with suitable
pictures.
RECITATION DELIGHT

Gear up for a recitation competition between girls and boys, after the
summer break.
Cambridge boy learners will learn the poem ‘Lord Neptune’ given on
page 92 of your English learner’s book.
Cambridge girl learners will learn the poem ‘At the end of a school
day’ given on page 95 of the English learners book.

Instructions:-
Participants will prepare an enactment to be held in the first week of July on
the usage of a word in different parts of speech. For eg: light as a noun, a
verb and an adjective or any other part of speech. Participants can use props
or can enact explaining the meaning simultaneously.
Judgment will be done on the basis of uniqueness, coordination and style,
coherence, clarity and accuracy.

SELFIE WITH MY BABY PLANT

Grow baby plants from seedless plants during your holidays. You will
be amazed to know that the top section of a few vegetables like onion
and potato can be used to grow new baby plants.
1. Put the tops of these vegetables in a deep dish, leaving some space
between them.
2. Put water into the dish till the vegetable tops are covered by water.
3. Add some water every day to maintain the water level.
After 10 days you will observe little seedlings coming out of the
vegetable tops. Plant them in different tops. Watch the plants grow
and take good care of these plants during your holidays. Record
your observations on an A-4 size sheet and paste a selfie with your
baby plant.
OR
Create a SEED MOSAIC using beautiful seeds available at home.
You can use an A-4 SIZE sheet and cover the sheet with a
transparent film in order to preserve the seeds from getting spoiled.
