SUBJECT DETAIL
A service pack is being released for DDDL and DDRS version 7.06 to address an issue with
CPC2+ software version r21.0 for EPA10 vehicles only. If the CPC2+ is updated to r21 and the
Minimum Engine Speed for Engine Brakes parameter value is less than 1000, the result will
be no throttle response.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are currently running DDDL or DDRS 7.06, you are required to
download this service pack immediately. You do not have to be connected to a vehicle to
acquire this service pack.
UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS
SP1 will automatically be downloaded when you connect to the DDC server. Please do
the following:
There are two methods of obtaining SP1. The preferred update method is through the DDDL
7.06 software, outlined below. If you are not able to connect to the Detroit Diesel server via
DDDL, this service pack can be downloaded from DDCSN.com. Details are found under
Additional Information in this letter.
NOTE: Prior to opening DDDL, make sure you have established an Internet connection. A high
speed connection is recommended and will result in faster update rates.

3. A screen will be displayed showing the progress of the download. Follow the installation
prompts to complete the download.
4. Verify that the patch has been applied by selecting ABOUT from the Help menu. Verify
the following:

NOTE: You must have DDDL 7.06 installed on your computer prior to applying this patch.

Tools Updates, Diagnostic Link 7.X. The service pack is located towards the bottom of the
