Fomento Economico Mexicano S.A.B. de C.V. Their structure and bottling process was

are taken to the cleaning unit. Here, the bottles get cleaned, steamed and sanitized to
rid them of any dirt and debris. This is done by jet streams and water. Then, the bottles
are picked up by something that can only be described as an overhead conveyer belt.
The soda is not all put in at the same time; the mixing process actually has more steps
now than it did when it was first bottled. Before, the syrup would go in first, and the
carbonated water would go on top.

pineapples will be go to the feeding machine where the crown of the pineapples will be
removed, second the pineapples will go to the top and tailing area where the tail of the
pineapples will be removed. The third step, the pineapples will undergo into the coring
process where the fleshy axis of the pineapples will be removed, Fourth step, the
pineapples will go to peeling machine where the cover skin of pineapples will be
removed. The next step, the pineapples will be eradicate or sliced. The last and final
step the slice pineapples are ready to put into canned and go to the storage area.

D. Cost efficiency

Coca Cola FEMSA Philippines, Del Monte Philippines Inc. and the Highland
Fresh have different cost efficiency. Coca Cola FEMSA Philippines, according to
Rappler a social news network The Coca-Cola Company FEMSA Philippines is the
world's largest beverage company, refreshing consumers with more than 500 sparkling
and still brands and more than 3,800 beverage choices. Led by Coca-Cola, one of the
world's most valuable and recognizable brands, company’s portfolio features 20 billion-
dollar brands, 18 of which are available in reduced-, low- or no-calorie options. The
billion-dollar brands include Diet Coke, Coca-Cola Zero, Fanta, Sprite, Dasani, vitamin
water, PowerAde, Minute Maid, Simply, Del Valle, Georgia and Gold Peak. Through the
world's largest beverage distribution system, they are the No. 1 provider of both
sparkling and still beverages. More than 1.9 billion servings of our beverages are
enjoyed by consumers in more than 200 countries each day. With an enduring
commitment to building sustainable communities, The Company is focused on initiatives
that reduce our environmental footprint, create a safe, inclusive work environment for
our associates, and enhance the economic development of the communities where we
operate. Together with our bottling partners, we rank among the world's top 10 private
employers with more than 700,000 system associates.

Del Monte Philippines Inc., has no waste in terms of their raw materials such as
pineapples they used in their production, it somewhat kind of fruit of life where all parts
that composes can be used by them, all the unused and waste parts of pineapples such
as pineapple skin, stalks and others are being used as food for their own cow instead of
feeding it by grass which was also raised in their own farm to produce a sweet quality of
meat which makes the meat tastes very good unlike other meat and the Highland Fresh
has its own farm where their own cow is raised for milk production. They also buy milk
from other farmers who raised cows in order to purchase cheaper and fresh milk but in
high quality unlike purchasing it from other milk factory which cost much.
Highland Fresh has most 60% of products are milk bars, frozen and sold near
schools and in sari-sari stores for P7 each. They come in durian, pandan, ube, melon,
strawberry and coca flavors. At about 50,000 pieces a day, the milk bars bring the
health benefits of milk at an affordable price to a large mass market. Thirty percent goes
to fresh milk and 10 percent to cheese, including kesong puti. A 240-gram butter made
of pure cow’s milk goes for P75. Mozarella cheese, on a per order basis, costs up to
P900 a kilogram. That’s more expensive than imported mozzarella at P600 a kilogram.

2. Evaluate which factor mentioned above contribute for the disadvantage of each
company.

COCA COLA FEMSA PHILIPPINES

Services, Coca Cola FEMSA Philippines are one of the largest bottling
processing in the Philippines. In the first of their existence they produced a glass bottle
and a year ago, it innovates into a plastic bottle such as “Mismo” and “1.5 Liter”. This
innovation leads into a high return of investments. However despite of being successful
of using plastic bottle of the Coca Cola Company, There’s a possibilities It may be bring
a big issues in our society, if this bottles cannot be dump and segregate well, it might
affect the company's government and environmental issues that would cause the
designated product to be ban and it would reduce the services that they produced for
limitations to their customers.
DEL MONTE PHILIPPINES, INC.

Process, for it involves the supply chain of the company that starts on raw
materials, which is the most important in producing output it is somewhat called the tier
3. The production of the Del Monte cannery starts of their main ingredient which is
pineapple where they produce their own pineapple plantation, if this will be affected by
environmental disaster for example El Niño and pests it may cause shortage that would
decrease the production of the cannery to supply their customers.

FRESH HIGHLAND

Process, they have a small facility to produce their products. Having a small
facility to produce or process their product is disadvantage to them, because they
cannot produce it well and fast. They cannot produce efficiently. Also if the cows got
sick they cannot get good quality of milk.

3. Recommendation.

Coca – Cola Company

We would recommend to coca – cola company to transfer there factory far from
the city and to lessen the amount of acid on their drinks because its very dangerous to
the health of human body.

Del Monte Company

We would like to recommend to the management that to level up their dumping

area to not enter the dust or any bacteria inside the processing area. Or go far from the
city and rebuilt their factory and they must prioritized the health of their employees.
Highland Fresh Company

We would like to recommend to the management of Highland Fresh that even

though there location is appropriate for a factory location they should improve and
enhance or widen their factor space for them to have big facility and to produce more of
their product.
