I. Written Report Structure/Format


A. Content / Sequence

1. Title Page
2. Foreword (optional)
3. Table of Contents (w/ proper pagination)
4. List of Tables / List of Figures
5. Report Proper / Main Report
a. Introduction
b. Main Report (legal considerations / background, discussion, salient
features, advantages, disadvantages, etc.)
c. Observations (present situation, effects, impacts, etc.)
d. Conclusion (overall analysis)
e. Recommendation (suggestions, eyeing for common good)
6. References (use the APA format, use books, periodicals, journals, published
and unpublished materials, webliography/on-line sources with date of
retrieval)

7. Annexes / Other Attachments / Pictures

8. About the Author - narrative profile about one to three paragraphs in the
maximum (w/ 2x2 picture- optional)

B. Margin and Pagination


1. 1.5 inches (left) and 1 inch (right);
2. 1 inch (top) and 0.75 inch (bottom)
3. 1 to 1.5 spacing
4. Page numbering at the center-bottom for the preliminaries (i, ii, iii, iv, v)
5. Page numbering at the upper right corner for the main pages (1, 2, 3….)
6. Footnotes are not encourage except in some citation of figures and
references

C. Font, Font Size, Paper Size


1. Arial Font and Font Size 11
2. A4 Paper is encouraged

II. Power Point and Reporting
A. Power Point Presentation
1. 15 to 20 Slides
2. 20 minutes presentation
3. 10 minutes Question and Answer (Q&A)
4. Bulleted Presentation (not in paragraph form , avoid copy-paste)
5. 7 to 9 lines per slide
6. Use of graphics are allowed
7. Use of video clips and news clips are also allowed (not to exceed 2
minutes)
8. Hard copy or print-out must be distributed to the members of the class

B. Actual Reporting Presentation


1. Observance of proper decorum
2. Use of Projector
3. Use of Evaluation Form and assignment of raters (please see attached
criteria)
4. Submission of Power Point Print Out
5. Submission of Written Report per prescribed format
6. Attire must be at least semi-formal (no sleepers, no sandals) during
reporting
7. Working lunch/snacks (allowed, provider cleanliness will be observed)

C. Reporting Criteria
Professor and selected members of the class will assess/evaluate the
reporter/s based on the following criteria:
1. Contents, Form and Substance – 40%
2. Depth of Discussion and Social Relevance – 20%
3. Coherence and Flow of Presentation – 15%
4. Mastery of the Subject Matter and Presentation Skills – 15%
5. Ability to Answer Questions and Connect with the Audience – 10%
D. Submission Requirements
1. Submission of Written Report using the prescribed format
2. Submission of Printed Power Point Presentation (two to three slides per
page)
3. Ring Bind Report
4. Submission of soft copies through e-mail or in CD
5. Submission of soft copies to the in-charge of compilation
