This year’s Spokane Hamfest will feature two hidden trans-
mitter hunts: one for young hunters 14 years of age or less, and

another for all hunters.  Prizes will be awarded for the first person to
find the hidden transmitter for each group -- a child will receive the
ARRL Operators Manual and an adult will receive the ARRL Antenna
Book, donated for prizes by the American Radio Relay League
(ARRL). Each participant will need to provide his or her own receiver.
Additional details: The hidden transmitter will be transmitting
on 146.565 MHz. You don’t need to be a licensed amateur radio op- from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at University High School

The SPOKANE HAMFEST is an annual event hosted by six Ama-


teur Radio clubs: The Inland Empire VHF Radio Amateurs, Kamiak Butte
Amateur Repeater Association, Northwest Tri-State ARO, Spokane DX
Association, Palouse Hills ARC, and University High School ARC.
