StudentDNA™ briefing Students learn differently, as unique as a human finger print, each student has a unique learning style and very individualized ability to recall information. StudentDNA™ represents an innovative breakthrough learning technology that actually discovers how a student learns, how long a student is engaged in learning and when they start “checking out” and offers solutions to a student who does not understand the content presented. Today, classrooms are filled with students who feel lost in understanding the content, unmotivated and or unwilling to learn, not tuned in, unengaged and that they are wasting their time. We hear this too many times. To better understand how StudentDNA works, we will provide an example of StudentDNA being used within a learning envirnoment. StudentDNA is an underlying technology that operates in conjunction with content and creates a database of user information that is constantly updated each time a student logs into the system. Examples of how StudentDNA works: 1. Our goal is to provide content to each student with intensity based on the total amount of time that a student can endure and show learning engagement. If the average student averages only 17 minutes of focus when presented educational content, what happens when the student has shut off the learning mode and closed down in 12 minutes? o o o o Is the remainder 5 minutes wasted Does the student “check out?” What does the student do when they “check out”? Can a mentor determine who is “checked out” when it happens?
StudentDNA™ is performing checks in the background, watching for gaps in response time, speed of reactions to very simple straight forward presentations, accuracy of simple reoccurrences. The power of studentDNA is measuring student engagement and knows when the student needs a break. When a student disengages from a high level to a low level of input, response and recall, the system flags a learning alert and creates a series of onscreen distractions such as images, games and exercises as well as a “mentorCall”. The mobile alert system – flags a student is having focus attention issues. The mentor goes one on one and determines the break and mental status of the user. StudentDNA has both an electronic delivery component for presenting content and a communications component that drives information to mentors who need to monitor where students are.
The goal of Achieve Learning Centers is to help the student succeed in school. We strive to make the centers social like a “Starbucks of Learning” concept. We know students fight to go to after school
programs, but the Achieve Centers are more like a Starbuck designed Movie Theater and arcade. The centers designed as a socially accepted place to be seen and to learn.
Our goal is to make learning fun and to give the student confidence that they can learn anything that is put in front of them, based on their individual learning style. The student invests time and effort to learn. Our learning system requires focus and mental work, however, the student quickly learns math success through repetition of learning content in small pieces. Achieve is a social network of students who meet and gather in the learning center which includes an in-house theater, popcorn, drinks and overstuffed couches, where students view relevant content in video format from industry leaders – we call these LearnCasts™, films produced by IBM, Apple, NASA, FAA, EXXON, HP, Motorola, Intel …) . The theater is designed to be fun, safe and social as well extremely high quality video feeds from major sponsors who are taking an interest in America’s future and our children. The movies are Math related and in five minute must show a real need of where Math will
make a difference to space exploration, marine exploration, peace and saving the planet. All relevant to why MATH is important. We inspire students to learn about how math makes a difference in our world, and while learning they are free to socialize with popcorn and drinks in hand. Science of learning and retention™ Student DNA™ Definition Student DNA is is considered the “4th learning modality”™ the proprietary process of obtaining user information from the student who access the online learning system. The process uses both user input and artificial intelligence to obtain the necessary information regarding learning habits and learning styles that are specific and unique to each student. The process required to train and motivate online users to meet their learning objectives, personal goals and have a very unique online learning experience specially designed around their interests and learning habits.
Users provide registration information, including personal goals, selection of technical preferences and use of the delivery system and content. From this information and information collected regarding the students use of the online system, Student DNA will perform mathematical calculations and present a unique learning experience to each individual user/ student. Student DNA is the underlying process and technological framework which enhances a users experience in online learning. The concepts are relative to individuals needs to be trained in any subject material in a manner unique to the specific individual. This means that no two people would be trained exactly the same way. Student DNA is built on mathematical algorithms unique to the Achieve Learning Management Systems . Our process and use of artificial intelligence will depend on the integration of our data into a common database structure from companies such as Microsoft SQL and or Oracle. Student DNA – is the “FOURTH LEARNING MODALITY™ ”. When the use of technology and the three learning modalities enter the same space, a 4th learning modality is created we call this StudentDNA™.
