Medieval Dynasty

1 Translation instructions
Medieval Dynasty is a turn-based medieval strategy game in which the player plays the role of a king.

 The game is explained briefly in the DESCRIPTION chapter.


 In the TRANSLATION section you find the specifications for the translation.
 In the GAMEPLAY EXAMPLES chapter, you can see some sample screenshot gameplay.

There are approximately 10.000 words to translate. The only document to translate is:

context.

3 Description
Medieval Dynasty is a turn-based medieval strategy game in which the player will have to lead his kingdom
from 476 AD. to 1492 AD.

Each round game consists of one season. In each season there may be one or more events in which the
player will be called to make choices. The choices will have repercussions on the characteristics of the
kingdom always visible in the upper bar (SEE FIGURE 1 - A).

The choices that the player can make will be visible in the action bar below the image and description of
each event. (SEE FIGURE 1 - B).

There are many events within the game. Some are simple and will appear on the main game screen (SEE
FIGURE 2). In these events the player will have to make a simple choice to end the event.

Other events will be composed of several phases and will be displayed in another screen. In these events
the player will have to make more choices before the event ends (SEE FIGURE 3).

The aim of the game is to make choices to avoid that the characteristics of the kingdom reach a negative
score.
4 TRANSLATION

The EXCEL document "3 Resources Medieval Dynasty" contains the contents of the app. Within the EXCEL
document there are TAGs represented by words in uppercase letters surrounded by the character "_".
These TAGs should not be translated and should be repeated in the sentence translated into the correct
position. Their meaning is explained in the excel document. If there are any doubts, we invite you to ask for
explanations. For example _TITOLO_ is a way to address the sovereign and could become: "Your Grace",
"Your Majesty", etc.

For each EVENT there are different rows which refer to the same event. Each event has different titles,
descriptions and choices which the player can select during the game.

We have colored in the same way the lines that refer to the same event or play area.

In each round, the player must select one of the possible EVENTS loaded at the bottom. By touching an
event you access the available actions.

For each simple event, a title, an image and a description are displayed (see box C). The player makes a
choice by selecting a choice available (see B).

For each composed event, there are more choices that the player will have to make, selecting the advisor
who proposes the thing that most pleases him.

In the start screen when a player completed all available events in the season, there is the possibility to end
the turn and go to the next season.

In each composed event, after the player complete all phases the final result is loaded.

During the game a player can purchase the helps available using experience points (XP). Advisor purchased
can help the player to improve some indicators.

The kingdom indicators are always visible in the upper bar. Touching an indicator you can view the details.
In another page the player can also see more details about each indicator.
5.1.7 FIGURE 8 - KING’s TRAITS
During the game, several sovereign will follow each other on the throne. Each sovereign will have different
traits that will influence the occurrence of certain events and the trend of the kingdom's indicators
