future.
The Kannur airport will accelerate the development of Kannur and
Kasargod district, especially in the field of tourism.
The destinations of foreign and domestic tourists start from Kovalam and
end in the backwaters of Alappuzha, though the tourist destinations in Kannur,
Kasargod & Wayanad districts are far more attractive, but are not visited by the
tourists. As this requires lot of time to cover the destination and are not well
connected. The opening of Kannur airport will be a fine solution so that these
places can be accessed by the tourist.
Tourists from India and abroad know that the Payyambalam,
Muzhappilangad beaches are far better than the crowded and tidy beach of
Kovalam. The Kannur airport will be an ultimate solution for the travel problem.

Mysore, Bangalore, Coorg will be accessible from Kannur Airport. The
total tourism business of Malabar will be 20 times greater than it in now.
