said Pagayuna had a habit of parking his motorcycle in
front of his house whenever he visits his neighbor whom
he only identified as “Raul”. Pagayuna and Raul had been
drinking most of the day and when he appeared drunk
kicking his gate and provoking him to a fight, he was
unable to control himself and shot him. Calopez spent all
the bullets in his magazine on Pagayuna and left him
outside. Pagayuna was rushed to the hospital after
concerned neighbors called for rescue personnel, but was
declared dead on arrival. Pagayuna was allegedly a drug
suspect who had already been arrested in the past for
violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive
Dangerous Drugs Act. The gun (92fs berreta with serial
number 2358851 Marked CALOPEZ) used in the
shooting was also recovered in their possession with 8
units of fired bullets,1 backpack,1 unit cellphone,1
motorcycle,Blood stains strewn on the ground. Calopez
was placed under the custody of PPCPO Station 1.

Crime scene
The incident happened on August 15 at 4:45 p.m. outside the house of the retired member of the
Philippine Navy (PN) Arnold Calopez, 56, in interior of Baltan Street, Purok Baltan in San
Miguel. Who shot Pagayuna several times, said to be self-defense it was only him and his wife
inside their house. Pagayuna parked again outside Calopez gate and was drunk and made a
commotion outside the house of Calopez by kicking his gate. Calopez was unable to control
himself and shot Pagayuna.

8 units of fired bullets
1 backpack

REFERENCE: Spot Report shooting incident of Arnold Calopez and Romeo Paguyuna
dated 15 August’19.

1. On or about 081630H of August, 2019, A retired member of the Philippine Navy (PN)
was arrested Thursday afternoon in Barangay San Miguel for shooting a drunk man was
arrested and he is ex-navy member Arnold Calopez, 56, for the murder of Romeo
Pagayuna, alias “Boboy”. The incident happened outside the suspect’s house in the

commotion outside the house of Calopez by kicking his gate. Pagayuna appeared drunk
kicking his gate and provoking him to a fight, he was unable to control himself and shot
him. Calopez spent all the bullets in his magazine on Pagayuna and left him outside.
Pagayuna was rushed to the hospital after concerned neighbors called for rescue
personnel, but was declared dead on arrival. Pagayuna was allegedly a drug suspect who
had already been arrested in the past for violating Republic Act 9165 or the
Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. The gun (92fs berreta with serial number 2358851
Marked CALOPEZ) used in the shooting was also recovered in their possession with 8
units of fired bullets,1 backpack,1 unit cellphone,1 motorcycle,Blood stains strewn on the
ground. Calopez was placed under the custody of PPCPO Station 1.

2. The cadaver was now moved to the regional crime laboratory office for medico legal and
Autopsy.

Purpose/s:
1. To determine whether or not the evidence fired bullets was fired through the
barrel of the above mentioned firearms.

Findings and Conclusions:

1. Comparative examination was made between the evidence fired bullet and test
ballistics bullet fired through the barrel of 92fs 2358851 revealed that they possess similar
individual classifications; the evidence bullet was fired through the barrel of the above
submitted firearm.

Remarks: All specimens submitted are retained and preserved in this office until the release
authorized.
