International Chef’s Day Celebrations at Regency!!!!

25 Year Old Regency College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology affiliated
to Osmania University organized a 3 day celebrations on the Occasion of International
Chefs Day’2019. This year the TELANGANA CHEFS ASSOCATION and SIDDHAM A
NGO Collaborated with Regency College. A program organized to inculcate the
students on Giving Back to the Society a CSR activity

All Over the Globe October 20th is celebrated as International Chefs' Day every year to
celebrate one of the most creative professions in the world and to reiterate the
significance of chefs and the culinary art in the field of Hospitality. This year the theme
of the International Chefs Day is “How Healthy Food Works”

Day-1
On 18th October- A Healthy Lunch Organized at Devnar Blind School,
Bansilalapet.

150 Regents and the Chefs Team from the Telangana Chef Association joined hands
and cooked a sumptuous lunch for 120 Children who are visually impaired. The day
begun at the School by the President of TCA Dharmender Lamba, Execuitve Chef
Trident Hyderabad, Vice President Chef Amey Marathe Founder/CEO Jasmey and
other TCA office bearers, Principal P.Ramesh Kumar Reddy attended the event.
Regents entertained the kids with fun filled activities and games. They also engaged
them with singing, playing key board. The cooking was done on site at the school
premises a healthy and nutritious meal was served to them. An elaborate 4 course
menu in which the chefs served them piping hot Noodles, Manchuria, Home Style
Chicken curry, a Yummy Fruit Custard and an ice cream. All the students thoroughly
enjoyed the A Day with the Chefs. The kids were given away some goody bags as a
token of remembrance by the Regents and TCA members.

Day-2
On 19th October- A Blood Donation Camp was organized with the support of NTR Trust
for the student Chefs of Regency and TCA Chefs. Around 150 student chefs and
professional Chefs participated in this drive to support Thalaseemia and Haemohilia
patients, with an inclination to support the needy as every 2 seconds someone needs
blood and we can make a huge difference to someone in need. The Blood Donation
Camp was inaugurated by Chef Dharmender Lamba President TCA and Exe Chef
Trident Hyd and other honored members of TCA, Ms. Alka Agarwal President Siddham
a NGO which support under privileged women of the society.

In the Afternoon an Organic Cookery Contest was organized by Siddham venue


partnered by Regency for under graduate students from 10 Colleges of Hyderabad. The

participants were supposed to make a dish with Organic Ingredients, again focusing on
Eating Healthy and how does it work to keep our body healthy. The Jury members were
Chef Keshi from TCA, Ms. Smita Duggar (Master Chef Contestant). The contestants
competed and made delicious dishes and presented them very artistically.

There was a Awards Ceremony organized for the Organic Cookery Contest Winners
and Runners. Regency College organized a Felicitation to the chefs of TCA and said
Chef Profession make a huge contribution to the society.
The hospitality sector has opened up a myriad of opportunities for people, without any
discrimination of gender. Hospitality which celebrates culture, traditions, cuisines,
languages, and humanity believes in respecting and accepting each other.

The President Chef Lamba congratulated Regency to collobrate with TCA and made
these celebrations a grandeur.Today’s generation children should be taught Healthy
Eating habits and also the source of nutritious foods. Mr. Ramesh Kumar Reddy
conveyed his appreciations to TCA Members and all the others who have joined hands
with Regency to celebrate this International Chefs day’2019. Regency is always in the
forefront to come forward and do activities to support the society.

Day -3

On 23rd October- Regency Chefs and President of TCA would be visiting Silver Oaks
International School at Bachupally.

250 Students of 6th Grade would be addressed by the Chefs about How Healthy Food
Works as Today’s Generation is Tomorrow Future of the World. A Cookery Contest is
also organized for these tiny tots to encourage the children to realize the importance of
eating healthy food and be creative by coming up with their own little recipes.

The International Chefs' Day is truly a celebration of camaraderie and reverence for
cultures which is shared through mouthwatering delicacies or unique practices.
