Microsoft Teams user cannot send a message in
Skype for Business
11/4/2019 • 2 minutes to read • Edit Online

Problem
You send a message to a Skype for Business (formerly Lync) user from Microsoft Teams and the message fails. This
issue may occur in the following scenarios:
Scenario 1: The message's recipient is set to Offline or Do Not Disturb in Skype for Business.
Scenario 2: The sender and recipient aren't both using Microsoft Teams.

Solution
Scenario 1: The recipient must be set to an active state, such as Available, in order to receive messages.
Scenario 2: Microsoft is working to resolve this issue. If your Skype for Business user account is on-premises,
the sender and recipient must be using Microsoft Teams to send or receive messages using Microsoft Teams.

Windows phone app for Microsoft Teams is retiring
11/5/2019 • 2 minutes to read • Edit Online

Summary
The Windows Phone app for Microsoft Teams is scheduled to be retired. After this change takes effect, this app will
no longer be available for download from Microsoft Store, and Microsoft will no longer provide support. Although
Microsoft continues to support Windows 10 Mobile, we are not focused on building new features for the system.
We will continue to invest in Microsoft Teams mobile apps for iOS and Android and in desktop apps for Windows
and Mac.

More Information
How does this affect me?
Beginning July 20, 2018, the Microsoft Teams app for Windows Phone will no longer be available from the
Microsoft Store. Existing users will be able to continue using the app until October 20, 2018. After October 20, the
Microsoft Teams app will no longer work, and users will receive an error message when they try to connect.
What do I have to do to prepare for this change?
If you need to continue using Microsoft Teams on Windows Phone, we recommend that you install the app before
July 20, 2018. However, be aware that the app will not work after October 20, 2018.

One or more of the document libraries on the user or group's OneDrive contains more than 5,000
OneNote items (notebooks, sections, section groups) and cannot be queried using the API. Please make
sure that none of the user or group's document libraries contains more than 5,000 OneNote items.
Please follow the link below for instructions on how to remedy this situation.

becomes available.

Workaround
To work around this issue, reduce the number of items in OneNote.

We recommend that you access OneNote through OneNote online or the OneNote application and remove items

To determine the item count, use one of the following methods:
Use the OneNote API Diagnostic to count the number of items in a certain document library:
