CAREER
A degree in the Arts and Humanities provides students a great foundation for a lot of
different careers. Students who study these disciplines learn to think critically, to express
themselves clearly, and to analyze new information. These qualities lead to a high degree of
professional flexibility and adaptability such as but not limited to, advertising sales agents, social
and community service managers, social and human service assistants, technical writer,
counseling, and foreign correspondent.

CURRILUM
The curriculum is designed to empower students and to prepare them to deal with
complexity, diversity, and change. It provides students with broad knowledge of the wider world
as well as in-depth study in a specific area of interest. It further helps students develop a sense
of social responsibility as well as strong and transferable intellectual and practical skills such as
communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to apply
knowledge and skills in real-world settings.

DEGREE

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
BA ENGLISH The courses in the program are designed to integrate theory
and practice to prepare the students for effective
communication in English in diverse contexts and situations. As
such, the courses assure graduates who do not only have
adequate facility of English but can competently and effectively
use the language in different contexts and for various purposes
such as in the field of research, publishing, public relations,
training, and foreign services.
BA COMMUNICATION Communication as a field of study covers various ways by which
humans communicate. It focusses on how verbal and non-
verbal messages are used to create meanings in different
contexts using diverse media platforms. It includes a broad
range of subject matter ranging from the study of
communication in interpersonal relationships, groups,
organizations and cultures.
BA PSYCHOLOGY Psychology as a discipline and professional practice contributes
to national development through basic and applied research
and interventions aimed at solving problems and promoting
optimal development and functioning at the individual, family,
group, organizations/institutions, community and national
levels. Furthermore, it provides initial training for those
interested in teaching, research and the practice of psychology.
BA PHILOSOPHY The program for philosophy stems from the tradition of human
search for the true, the good, beautiful and the just grounded
on the various ancient and contemporary traditions; the
rational, intuitive, analytic, humanistic, scientific, technological,
biological, intellection of both East and West. The program
welcomes disciplines that cross the boundaries between
humanistic disciplines and other programs that explore the
connection between the humanities and other areas of
scholarship. Furthermore, the course is designed to make
students excel in the field of education, religious vocation,
management, politics, communication, media and research.
