REFLECTION 2
Topic: How are these sets of skills similar to and/or different from each other?
In the previous reflection, I had examined about those sets of skills that human
in the new period of society needs to be succeeded. In addition to the concept, the
similarities and differences of these sets of skills are also important for those who
truly need to take advantage of it. In this essay, I will illustrate you to thoroughly
understanding of the similarities and differences of problem-solving skills and
critical thinking skills.
To begin with, critical thinking and problem solving are necessary to gain
success, and normally go hand-in-hand. There are similarities exists between both
of these concepts. Those similarities include that people use knowledge, facts, and
data to solve a problem. To solve problem, generally, both of skills assist us develop
the ability of reading and understand trouble rapidly. From that point, we able to
bring out the suitable solutions. For instance, you are doing well in university, and
most of your college and living expenses are paid. But there are several spaces
between what you want and what you feel you can afford. Thus, you have to analyze
your income, savings, and budget to better compute what you will need to stay in
the university and maintain your desired level of spending. In addition, these sets of
skills are not entirely theoretical, practical brings highly effective for users. If you
only practice one of these sets of skills, it assumes that you cannot solve your
problem effective or successfully.

On the other hand, differences can be another necessary factor in forming each
other's unique. Critical thinking is an important skill to understand and be able to use
in every single day life no matter who you are. Life is originated of problems of all
severities. To achievement, you need to be able to use critical thinking to solve
problems. Furthermore, critical thinking is a part of problem solving. Once you
identify the problem, you can take advantage of critical thinking skill to guide you
through the problem-solving steps. To be successful in your life, thoroughly
understanding how to deal problem is highly important in order to help others and
yourself wherever you go. To make it simpler, this is similar to what is the difference
between scientists and engineers. Critical thinking is analyzing and exploring
information in mind. Problem solving is effort to find a solution in a practical way,
not necessarily the most ultimate solution.
In order to finalize my ideas, I would like to emphasize that these sets of skills
are not always the same or different. Depending on the level of practice and purpose
that skills change in the direction that we desire to perform.
