The Impact of Parental Divorce On Children Emotions

ABSTRACT
This study aims to get a picture of the impact of divorce parents about the
emotional conditions of children, so researchers can see the symptoms arises as an
impact for children caused by parental divorce. Picture the emotions of the child of a
parent divorce victim is what is thoroughly investigated. Researcher This program
was conducted at SDN Gembong I Kec. Balaraja - Tangerang District with two
responden with the sex of men in class II and women in class III who have divorced
parents. Respondents were taken based on interviews and observations taken do by
researchers. Data collection is done by using interviews, ob-servation and
documentation. Research data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively through case
studies that present data using narration. The implications of this research are
divorce has a negative impact on a child's emotional condition his ideas and often
shows even aggressive behavior maybe there are people who like to fight, or vice
versa, maybe there are also quiet children or difficult to get along. Children who are
victims of divorce experience problems because of this the attention and affection
given by parents is no longer complete.

PRELIMINARY
Children are the most ijured victims when his parents decide to get a divorce.
Son can feel scared because of losing figure their father or mother, afraid of losing
affection parents who do not now live in the same house. Maybe also they feel guilty
and consider themselves they are the causes. Children's achievements in school will
decrease or they become more frequent to be alone. Conditions are worse if the
family economy is not not enough to live. Common problems it happens to students
who have parents who are getting divorced is the attention given by those divorced
parents are not complete and big, parents become very busy to make a living for meet
the needs of everyday life yes. In a single parent family, parents behave and double in
carrying out its obligations as parents. This can hinder your relationship between
children and parents.
Children of divorced parents tend judged not good socially, or eduka-sional
compared to children of intact parents. Kon-This situation raises the assumption that
students who has psychically divorced parents not good because students don't get
enough attention tian and the whole affection of both people- and resulted in poor
academic achievement bow.
This research was also found in the interview the way with students in places
where researchers work in Gembong I Public School which was the object this
research. From the results of interviews and observations,especially children who
have parents who are divorced, children will be disturbed in catching food anchor
lessons given by the teacher, such as chat with one table friend, daydreaming, playing
alone (talking to himself with his toy, writing sil is used as if the instrument is
playing), besides that interactions with peers such as; have a tantrum, be rude, and
other aggressive actions such as being educational am, no longer cheerful, not
sociable, difficult to connect concentration, and not interested in school work until
school performance tends to decrease. This make the teachers at school have to work
more even harder, because in addition to completing the program teaching and
learning, even teachers are faced with there are students who need more per-careful

 From the temporary data obtained, it can be concluded There are several
reasons for parents' divorce at SDN Gembong I is due to marry at a young age,
Parent's mindset about marriage, education the low and the surrounding environment
support the existence of divorce.

Theoritical review
Divorce
Divorce is a divorce between partners husband and wife as a result of their
failure perform their respective role bonds. In this divorce is seen as the end of
something marital instability where a partner is married then lives separately and
officially recognized by applicable law. Divorce is family breakdown due to one or

husband and wife.

Emotions
According to Crow & Crow (Sunarto & B. Agung Hartono in Student
Development, 2008) the notion of emotion is " An Emotion, is an affective experience
that accompanies generalized inner adjustment and mental and physiological stirred-
up states in the individual, and that shows it self in his overt behavior ". So, emotions
are experiences affective which is accompanied by an adjustment from within in-
dividing about mental and physical states and jud is an apparent behavior. Robert
Plutchik (in Santrock, 1988: 399) categorizing emotions into segments; positive and
negative ( they are positive or negative ), primary and mixed ( they are primary or

researcher I don't conclude that emotions are part of the affective aspects that have
an influence big on one's personality and behavior. So emotions play an important
