• Total Recovery increased from Rs. 308 Crores in 2008‐09 to Rs. 407Crores in 
2009‐10.
• Steps taken to improve Recovery during the year‐
i)  Opening of 8 Asset Recovery Branches
ii) Recovery from Written Off Accounts is Rs. 243 Crores.
iii) Focus on Recovery Camps including Lok Adalats for small value NPAs
‐ 8634 Recovery camps held and Rs. 103 Crores recovered
iv) 153 OTS proposals were sanctioned amounting to Rs.397 Crores. 21

Launching of Centenary Year Celebrations
In  memory  of  our  founder  Sir  Sorabji 
Pochkhanawala,  the  Bank  has  instituted  an 
annual  Lecture  Series,  commencing  from 
2009‐10, its 99th year, by eminent persons.

Founder: Sir Sorabji 
Pochkhanawala(1881‐1937)

The first such lecture was delivered by H.E. Kamalesh Sharma, Commonwealth 
Secretary General, on March 31st, 2010 on “The Emerging Global Order and The 
Commonwealth”

„ Implementation  of  Youth  Finance  Facility  in 
collaboration  with  Commonwealth  Secretariat  in  4 
backward  districts.  Aim  is  to  provide  integrated 
financial  assistance  for  youth  for  setting  up  micro
