1 BUILD ME UP SENTENCES
Construct your own sentences based on the story just read
with following linking verbs below. Please observe the rules of
tenses of the verb in the sentences. (2 minutes). Prepare ½
crosswise and then write your answers on the board.

Activity no. 2 FINDING ME LINKING VERBS

Directions: Read each statement. Encircle the linking verbs
found in the sentences. Prepare ½ crosswise and then write
your answers on the board. ( 2 mins.)
1. The king was buried.
2. He looks older than his age.
3. An old woman showed up on the castle while the king is
eating.
4. People are starting to complain and starve.
5. The king's name was King Barabas.

Activity no. 3 DRAMA ON THE GO

Directions: Select a part of the story which you have learned
most and that gave you an impact. Use the following linking
verbs for your conversation/presentation. Using other linking
verbs is allowed/welcomed. Script is no longer needed for as
long as the thought is carried out. Observe also the tenses of
the verbs. (2mins). Write your names on ¼ sheet of paper.

Activity no. 4 ADVERTISEMENT
Directions: In a group, select a product that you can advertise
on TV or radio. Make it sure that everyone participates in the
ad. Use your own linking verbs to advertise the product and to
communicate with the group. (2 mins.)

Activity no. 5 SING WITH ME

Directions: In your group, compose your own lyrics of song
with a melody or tone based on the lesson of the story and
with linking verbs. Make it sure that everyone will participate
in the composing and singing of the song. Also, you may or
may not pattern your original song to a particular song ( 2
mins.) Write your song a ½ sheet of paper.

Activity no. 6 TALKSHOW ( 2 mins.)

Directions: Plot or organize your own talkshow. All talks shall
have examples of linking verbs from the guests and questions
from the host shall center on the story just read. The talkshow
is an interview platform and all shall participate in the show.
Write your names on a ¼ sheet of paper.

Activity no. 7 POETRY, OH POETRY

Directions: On a piece of paper and with your group, write
your own poem based on the LESSON of the story with the
application of linking verbs. Make it sure that everyone will
participate. Before the presentation, write your poem on the
board. ( 2 mins.)
Activity no. 8 THE MAKING OF THE PARAGRAPH
Directions: In your group, write your answer on manila paper,
try to create a story or you have understood based on the
picture. Do not forget to use some of the linking verbs in
writing your paragraph. After that, encircle your linking verbs
and paste your work on the board. ( 2mins.)
