1. GENERAL SPECIFICATION

1.1 INTRODUCTION
This specifications shall be applied to design, manufacture, test and inspection of the diesel
engine generator set for prime power used to Ship.

1.2 APPLICATION STANDARDS


The specification are made primarily based upon the standards of KS(Korea Standard),
KRS (Korean Register of Shipping), ISO (International Organization for Standardization),
JEM (Japan Electric Manufacturing Association), DIN(Deutsche Industrie Normen)

1.3 RULES AND REGULATION


The Diesel Generator set shall comply with the requirements of the following rules & regulation
of the latest issue.
( ) KRS , ( ) KST , ( O ) NONE
The other items which are not covered in this specification are to be manufactured in
accordance with the maker's standard.

1.4 STANDARD STRUCTURE


- The generator set is consist of Engine, Engine control and alarm panel,
engine control device, A.C. Alternator, AVR and common bed.
- The engine and alternator mounted on common bed, which are direct coupling.

- The unit, which is used for design and manufacture diesel engine generator set,
is metric except for special case. (kg, mm, ℃, etc.)
- The letters of NAME PLATE, GAUGE PANEL, DOCUMENT and DRAWING
are used ENGLISH.

- The diesel fuel is composed of the hydro-carbon(HC) and must not contain
the metal oxide or the solid material
