Streetsville Village Times Article- June 2018

Spring is here and summer is just around the corner, and I am very excited for all of the amazing
events that will be held in our community over the next few months! Be sure to tell your friends and
family and mark your calendars now!

Bread & Honey Festival

The Bread & Honey Festival will be held on the weekend of June 1-3, 2018. The 46th annual festival
will be a fabulous celebration with an impressive line-up of performers and activities. On Friday, June
1, the festivities kick off with a spectacular line-up of performers on the main stage starting at 6pm,
including Jammers Waffle House and Achromatics.

On Saturday, June 2, catch the Bread & Honey parade at 10am, starting at Queen St. S. and Ontario
St. going south to Old Station Rd., and be sure to check out the amazing live entertainment on the
main stage starting at 12noon, including Alessia Cohle, Streetfire, and Fiddlestix. The Busy Bee
Children's Island Stage is back again this year on Saturday and Sunday, with great performances and
activities for kids, including face painting, pony rides, train rides, kids' crafts, and more.

On Sunday, June 3, join us for a great line-up of performers starting at 11:30am, including the
Mississauga Big Band and Latintrain. If you like fishing, head over to the banks of the Credit River on
Sunday (south of the Island Bridge) from 9-11am for my annual Fishing Derby. The derby is open to
children 16 and under. Please bring your own fishing gear, and fish for great prizes!

Streetsville Canada Day Celebration

The Streetsville Canada Day celebration will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018. This is the 26th
annual Canada Day celebration and there will be lots of crafts, games and activities for the kids,
Rotary BBQ, live entertainment, raffle, and lots more! Don’t miss the official Canada Day Opening
Ceremonies & Cake Cutting, live entertainment and the Flag Raising Ceremony at the Village
Square. The Streetsville Pipes and Drums will then lead everyone down to Memorial Park for live
musical entertainment and at 10pm don't miss the spectacular fireworks display choreographed to

2018 Vintage in the Village Classic Car Show

It's time to rev up your engines for the annual Vintage in the Village Classic Car Show in downtown
Streetsville! The details for the 2018 show are as follows:

The Vintage in the Village Classic Car Show is always great fun for the whole family. Enjoy delicious
food served fresh all day and fabulous live entertainment. Great giveaways and prizes will be
awarded all day! All makes and models are welcome in the show and no registration is
required. Parking spots will be assigned first come, first served beginning at 9am. For more

2018 Streetsville Santa Claus Parade
I am very excited to report that the Streetsville Santa Claus Parade will be returning to the heart of
downtown Streetsville this year! The details of the 2018 Streetsville Santa Claus Parade are as

Queen St. S. & Church St., Streetsville

The 2018 parade will begin at Queen St. S. and Ontario St., and proceed south on Queen St. S.,
ending at Church St. As in previous years, the Streetsville Santa Claus Parade will take place during
the same weekend as the Streetsville BIA’s fabulous Christmas in the Village Weekend, which will be
held on Friday, November 23rd and Saturday, November 24th. More information about the 2018
Streetsville Santa Claus Parade and the Christmas in the Village Weekend will be available on and in the coming weeks.
