The explosion of subcompact and micro-


compact conceal carry pistols entering the
market presents challenges for consumers who
are considering illumination accessories for
their firearms.
Taking a look under the hood of this light / laser
To begin, the majority of all subcompact and accessory…
micro-compact frames lack accessory rails so
manufacturers were left to work with trigger
guard attachment - true for most subcompact
and micro-compact platforms. Although
adequate for light only weapon mounted
accessories, without a mounting rail there is no
way to stabilize a light/laser accessory to
mitigate the risk of laser misalignment. So, a
shooter could notice a slight misalignment of
the aiming laser just from normal day to day
holstering. I’m not pointing out a manufacturing
defect but one can only do so much given the
platform’s lack of a mounting rail. Enter SIG’s
P365 family.

Sig designers had on their thinking caps when


they included longitudinal mounting rails as
part of the P365 frame. Streamlight capitalized TLR-6 UNIVERSAL KIT

The TLR-6 is fully ambidextrous and depending


on model, has three modes of operation: light,

1 meter drop and has a water resistance
meeting IPX4 standards.
