Topic sentence: There are three key elements (central idea) in
deciding where to locate a new business (topic)
1st supporting idea: The first is the infrastructure of the area.
Examples/reasons: good road and rail communications, an
international airport
2nd supporting idea: The second key element is the living
environment.
Examples/reasons: an attractive place to live, inexpensive houses,
good education for children, etc.
3rd supporting idea: The third element is the business
environment.
Examples/reasons: a growing economy, successful businesses
Concluding sentence: A good location will help the company
gain success.

What factors are important when setting up a regional office?
Topic sentence: There are three key elements (central idea) in
deciding where to locate a new business (topic)
1st supporting idea: The first is the infrastructure of the area.
It is crucial that there are good road and rail communications.
We will find it convenient to locate the office near an
international airport.
2nd supporting idea: The second key element is the living
environment.
We need to offer staff an attractive place to live where they can
find inexpensive houses, and good education for children, and so
on.
3rd supporting idea: The third element is the business
environment.
A place that has a growing economy with other successful
businesses will be a good environment for our company.
Concluding sentence: In short, a good location will help the
company gain success.

The functions of a central bank:
• The first one is actually to implement monetary policy.
