Fahad Medical City of Riyad in Saudi Arabia.

Prof Kasule started his lecture with a question, “If Allah (SWT) gives us some diseases, who are
we to stop it?” He pointed out “The main problem lies in our thought process, and gave an
example the way we destroy Farz to maintain Sunnah.” To this end, he mentioned in a broad
sense two problems—one is with thought and another one with knowledge. Because, the two
sources of perception always create some sort of confusions. He emphasised doing research on
Qur’an and Sunnah.

He talked about another area of research i.e.

research for Makashid al-Shariah as Shariah has
five objectives. Mentioning the importance of
family in our life, he underscored the necessity
of doing research on it as well. Kasule also pointed out the fields of research on knowledge,
basic economics and environment.

“Among the two books from Allah, ‘Kitabul Oyhi’ is correct but we may not understand it and
he termed it as the main problem of Ummah today.” Finally, he asked for specific research
proposal from the interested one for which IIIT would respond quickly.

Executive director in his closing remark said, “It’s time to revive Islamic heritage, and BIIT and
IIIT together will welcome your any initiative in this regard.”
